That is exactly my observation of Anthony Richardson. He's an RB1 with JaMarcus Russell's arm and accuracy. Maybe time and coaching can get him to be an NFL level QB, but I'm betting against that. I was literally waiting for INTs with every heave.

After having watched Peyton Manning absolutely carve our defense up with surgical precision for years, this guy is a welcome site.

Josh Allen? Talk about an extreme over reaction to a couple of games against the East Rutherford Jets and the Nashville Titans

Coach Ryan: We’re still evaluating Will…I seriously cant stand coach’s continues vague answers…Just freaking say it man, he has a high ankle sprain or whatever the hell it is…

WAJ has really grown as my favorite player and i truly believe he is our best player…We need a healthy Will back soon!!

I never had any issue with the idea of trading up for Will - it was fun! Exciting! I loved Will Anderson!. But did not like giving up all that draft capital (and still wince a bit as, man! this team could use 2-3 more elite prospects)

But!!! I freaking LOVE Will Anderson. He is going to wreck defenses in year 3.

It’s amazing getting two franchise cornerstones in one draft.

CJ Stroud proved to be a franchise worthy pick at #2.

Will Anderson proved to be a franchise worthy pick at #3.

Both guys could have picked #1 and with their performance so far would, nobody would bat an eye…. They would have been justified going #1 in any recent draft.

Teams generally have to trade whole drafts plus some additional #1 picks for the chance to select a talent like either CJ Stroud or Will Anderson.

The Texans managing to get both guys was a heist. They used their own pick to take Stroud, and trade magic to get Anderson.

I particularly like Will Anderson because his attitude is team oriented, and he doesn’t appear to have any nastiness in his off-field personality. Sure opposing QB may not like his intensity and motor, but that the game.

In his 3rd year I think Anderson will dominate even further. I’m anticipating he become a defensive player of the year within the next 3 seasons.

There was no magic - they essentially gave up three first round picks for Anderson (12 & 33 in '23; 27 in '24) + the 90th overall pick, which is late round 3.

I LOVE Will Anderson. I'm so glad the Texans have him. But with the 12th, 33rd and 27th picks, they could have selected: Jahmyr Gibbs, Sam LaPorta, & Xavier Worthy. I'm not arguing one is better than the other - it feels like a trade both sides won. But sometimes, putting names to draft picks gives a little more perspective. They gave up *a lot.*
