Having to google lingo that kids use these days. Sus...bet...simp.... Kids born in 2000 can drink now. Kids who can serve the country today that weren't around for 9/11. I let out a sigh / grunt every time I sit on the couch or get up.....
I went to urgent care yesterday because I had a nasty rash on my forhead that I thought was maybe a chemical burn and it was making my eye puffy. Doctor took one look and told me i have shingles. Time to join AARP.
Oh fudge, dude that sucks, my dad had that a few years back and it was painful. Last time I was at Walgreens the lady asked me if I wanted a shingles shot and I said no simply for the fact I am deathly afraid of needles. HOw long did they say it would last? How do you keep it from spreading................so sorry my man
It felt like a bad 2nd degree burn - like I'd touched a pan off of the stove to my forhead. I'm lucky in that it was only a swath like 6 inches by 2 inches from the top center of my hairline down to my right temple. Back in the day my grandfather got it and it ran all the way down his leg. For me it started with a weird itchy/burny feeling on my forhead like right after you get a sunburn and when I woke the next morning I had this giant painful red rash on my face. My understanding is it just goes wherever it wants to go, following the path of nerves usually only on one side of the body. They gave me valtrex which is the antiviral they give people with herpes, and some prednisone which is a steroid. They also gave me some gabapentin which killed the pain. The drugs did an amazing job and it doesn't really hurt anymore and is significantly diminished in just like 3 days of treatment. Really the indignity of getting this old-person disease was worse than the actual outbreak. I imagine it could have been much worse if if my wife hadn't pushed me to go to the doctor.
Yesterday, I was cooking in the kitchen and just walking to and from various spots getting whatever I needed for our food. All the sudden while walking and NOT CARRYING A ******* THING, I feel this pull / spasm in my mid back area and immediately I know I had strained something WHILE ****ING STANDING UP ONLY DOING NOTHING!!!! Unreal. I'm 38 and in the best shape of my life, not 78 lol.
I was scraping rust off a metal roof a couple days ago and came back down on the ladder and my right leg just hurt for no reason days later. I didn't put any additional pressure on it or anything. I'm not in bad shape myself but damn guess I have to get in even better condition now. No more skipping leg day and cardio...
Lol, I hear that man. So annoying. I've done all this hard work to lose 100+ lbs and get to a good weight and pretty decent shape, and then I get taken out by a back strain standing up like humans do all the time. Roll eyes.
Yeah, these exercises really unlocked my hips which helped my back spasms. It's lower body stuff but the core work helps avoid those little muscles pulls.
