Not much on the scale of reasoning and logic, I'll say that. She thinks Republicans do a good job on abortion (she's pretty pro-life no matter what). Believes they do a better job on the economy and inflation (despite that not being true). She's for crackdown on the border and immigration, even though her parents are immigrants and only residents here not citizens. Let's see, what else.... She feels like they do a better job giving money back to the people via tax breaks (and we know that's not true either). And then she's just naturally leaned more conservative ever since her Catholic upbringing. Hell, I'm Catholic too, but you don't see me voting Republican when it doesn't make any sense to do so.
Ask again in 6 months - the incoming recession & health disasters are going to change a lot of hearts & minds (and also stop a lot of hearts & minds - lots of death incoming)
The hope for the Republic at this point is knowing that modern far right Americans compared to original Nazis are more out of shape, sedentary larpers, people with delusions of grandeur, haven't experienced anywhere near the unhinged trauma of tench warfare that turns people deranged, so on and so forth. We are looking at a far right that is far less competent at dishing out violence compared to WW1 veteran based far right groups during Weimar Germany.
