Amen was great, though his defense was a bit lackluster. Ausar was ass save for that dunk. Reed was awful.

Sadly I agree. This is a total case of prioritizing needs (shooting) over best player available at the top of the draft. Reed's high IQ fooled us over Castles higher upside but lack of shooting

Amen is definitely the more dominant personality and alpha of the twins. Great for us! He's obviously meaner on the court too!

How are they gonna lie on Reed’s name like that?

I don't know who is who but Ausar seems to be extra motivated this year and we saw it after the Piston loss.

And Amen was trying a comeback but had to give it to Ausar.

Maybe unrelated but I was wondering about this too yesterday.

What you're noticing is I believe called an Alpha Complex, rather than exhibiting what we know as Alpha behavior. He probably developed that when they would argue as kids.

The alpha part of their behavior is where they both can be stars but don't feel any egoism in jumping for loose balls and fighting for offensive rebounds, doing things that narcissists (i.e. fake alphas) would typically reject. The part where they don't want to fight but if you cross their line they will throw you across the court (sorry Herro, it's just nature). Also alpha behavior on their part is when they can care about the big prize and simultaneously care about the person who needs the most help. Alphas care about victims of injustice, narcissists are triggered by victims because they, by definition, secretly feel like victims so they prefer to have negative views about people who claim victimhood.

Alphas can mentally do way more impressive things than physically or verbally dominating people. These things tend to get confused, the easy way to remember it is that alphas are a million times rarer than the people who claim to be alphas. So it has to be in a far rarer and higher spectrum of dominance than what we're seeing here, alphas don't need to force things. Most of what they do happens extremely quietly, confidently and peacefully without challenges. They don't have to say they're alphas or act like it, the whole point of it is that others recognize it and their physiology changes when confronting an alpha.

According to their brother, Amen is the unserious one who makes silly jokes (his jokes are funny but not charismatic at all). Ausar is the more serious, studious one. That's ok, alphas don't necessarily have the gift of gab, they project charisma regardless. But I don't think that the power dynamic at home is the same as what you see on TV. If I had to guess? I feel like in pressure times, Ausar has more of the big wise brother vibe.

    Fun speculation.

I don't think anyone could have known Reed would have forgotten how to shoot. Castle had the bigger upside for sure. I don't know if he'll ever be able to be more than an average shooter but he does everything else well

All you ever had to know about Reed was his one and only NCAA tournament game. That’s the guy we got and no excuses for Stone as I pleaded over and over again on this site the differences between the two when bigger stage games took place. Worst thing that ever happened to this team was moving up from 9 to 3 in the draft. We would have either had Edey or Knect at 9.

Don't blame Jeremy Lin, Why on Earth is James Harden on the floor on defense. Not knowing what to do.
