Reed Sheppard is averaging 4 pts, 1asst, 1 reb and 13 mins in 54 games. There has been enough minutes given. We have all seen enough although some of us will fight tooth and nail to deny what is right in clear view. Our experienced eyes are not deceiving us. I told yall he is a 12pt, 3 asst and 2 reb average player as a starter. But will he ever start? I don't think so. I'm sorry but he's a 2nd rounder at best.
If Ime has decided Reed is not it then he needs to be in the G-League putting up stats. We’re destroying his trade value having him pine-riding. At least keep the option to “Donte Greene for Ron Artest” him open.
16 games vs. 54 games. Reed has played more than 3x the games. Well he has logged more minutes. We should have seen some type of improvement by now.
Nah bro you can’t use the “bUt He HaSn’T pLaYeD eNoUgH” excuse for Carter when you never allowed it for Sheppard. That’s one con of trolling too hard. You gotta take the L on Carter.
From the start I have always said that Reed had no business not being in the G. I knew Reed wasn't ready before the draft. If Carter would have played the same amount of games he would have a definite spot on the roster. He would definitely have shown some type of improvement.
Reed says Holiday, Landale and Jeff Green have been really helping him on the court and taking him to dinners. can we get him some better player friends?! @Bobbythegreat
It's a damn shame that Ime doesn't have sense enough to stop blocking an obvious Hall of Fame career. Amiright?
Just sit him on the bench till he can be traded in the summer, We should not keep showcasin any remaining trade value Largely agree, but I think you are being a bit optimistic. Hard to get playing time when as someone noted above vertually evert\yone he guards just blows by him.
Ughh I hate being right. How can a scout and front office not see what seemed so obvious to me?? Seems like a skilled ball player and smart but he’s just waaayyy too small to play in the nba. Isn’t skilled enough to be a generational point guard, and those skills aren’t just taught in the gleague your rookie year. There has only been a handful of CP3/Nash types. It’s naive to think he can just develop randomly. He was always Steve Kerr at best. Troy Daniel’s most likely… and right now he can’t even shoot like Matt Maloney much less Troy Daniels. Tillman needs to fire some folks in the front office who are supposed to know this stuff that was always obvious. This is unacceptable for the #3 draft pick in any draft.
People thought the shooting would translate. If Sheppard was shooting 40% from 3 like he was projected to do so we wouldnt be having this conversation and he'd be the runaway ROY playing 30 mins a night.
Trading him doesnt make any sense you dont buy high sell low. Just like when JG and Jabari were struggling the best thing to do is wait and hope he develops.
Some people are just delusional. Sheppard is already getting 13 mins a night thats more than enough to show if he sucks or not. Yesterday Sheppard had the classic 0/0/0/0 but his delusional fans are gonna keep insisting Sheppard doesnt have enough attempts to judge him like it isnt his fault his has low attempts on horrible efficiency. The delusion is honestly worse than Lin, at least Lin was a good backup.
U can't be missing this bad on a 3rd overall pick . Not saying he will be yet, because it's too soon, but he's on pace to be one of the bustiest of the busts.
How is he way too small when several nba players are smaller or the same size as him, like cp3, Fred, Alvarado, Lowry…..etc. He just needs to get stronger which will come in time with training as he develops his career. He will also get better at getting his shots and getting through the rookie-deer-in-headlights look which I saw a lot of from Jabari his first 2 years in the league when everyone was crying about how “he was suppose to be a shooter!” “He’s the number 3 pick!”
