If anybody has an excuse to be tired, it's Amen. He's averaging 39 minutes per game since the new year. That's unheard of in today's NBA. Nobody in the entire league is averaging that many minutes per game on the season as a whole. Not even on Thibodeau's Knicks. I'm actually really concerned that he's going to get seriously injured because of this sh*t.

Also, Jalen, Amen AND Cam will all have more opportunities to drive when the paint isn’t totally packed. Tate, Amen + any non-shooting big just doesn’t work for us. If we had a deadly midrange guy like Derozan, maaaaybe? But even he would find the paint packed, the way other teams are playing us now.

What can he do though? This team doesn’t have playmakers or shooters.

Did he just admit that some of the guys were too tired?

Sadly at this rate, I'm not so sure about getting into the playoffs.

Proud of the Stay Ready crew for outworking the starters and bench cutting down a blowout loss to a single digit loss.

Nate Williams would have been seen as the next Malik Monk, Keon Ellis or Max Christie if only he got the minutes. Why is he buried on the bench? Dude can play, has size, shooting and length.

Jack McVeigh can play too, we have far too many developing players to play them all, we need to clear some of the dev guys so we can get a more well rounded roster.

Heck, Jock Landale is one of our best outside shooters.

Interestingly, Rockets shot threes better than GSW (33% vs 27%) but turnovers killed us (20 vs 10). Both are against the identity of this team.

Also, this was a 27-27 team also on a back to back and they traveled, why we feel like loss is inevitable.

Good for Nate Williams, he’s always looked good when he has gotten the chance to play.

Nate isn't as dynamic as Cam but he is a better player than him right now.

It was pathetic watching us play, absolutely atrocious passing, drives into 3-4 guys, getting blocked and the ball stolen left and right. Glad I flipped through the game until it was closer and saw finally Nate Williams in the game and that he was scoring at will. Time to see him getting some playing time over some of our guys like Cam who was probably along with Jalen the most egregious at being selfish and just dumb on both ends.

On the more analytical side, there’s a lot of reasons why it’s even amazing we won against the Suns and took a lot of luck as well, and it includes Ime’s decision making and basically looking at different starting line-ups at will over building some consistency. Hard to play well when the group is out of sorts from the start.

Still they are NBA, best in the world players, so have to be able to catch a pass, not jump over people just because we’re supposed to crash the boards - looking at you Tate - rotating off of good 3pt shooters, not doubling Curry, giving him wide open threes, not using Adams the right way, driving into 3-4 guys and everyone just watching, etc.

And honestly, as much as I was for Amen starting at PG next season, he needs a lot of work before he can do that and is unlikely to ever be that. He would need to start over Brooks or we trade for a SG who can handle the ball and can start next to that guy. Green will never be a PG with those shitty handles.

Holiday showed he actually can be more than just a spot up shooter, loved seeing him attack Curry and have success, even if those cuts and actions are not based on sets but just pure freewheeling. And he’s obviously not our answer at PG, but neither is Tate who has shown he can set up an offense and initiate a fastbreak.

The BIG positive was of course Nate Williams, loved him since the first game I saw him in, summer league or whatever it was, and he deserves playing time over Cam. If Stone got calls for Cam, he should’ve traded him immediately to make way for Nate to play. He’s taller, has very good hands, can actually handle the rock and has a very slick ability to get the floater and hook shots to go in. He seems to have large arms, but also understands angles very well. Something Tate sucks at.

Yup if they had just used the traditional font and it had said Clutch City, I would’ve bought one in an instant. I only got the shorts now which look amazing.
