For all the talk about how well or not-well Jalen and Alpi fit together over the years, I think the bigger concern has started to become how well Amen and Alpi fit. When both are on the floor, other teams just collapse four players into the paint, they'd rather take the chance on the rest of our team beating them with 3P shooting than let those two guys assault the rim. This could maybe be solved by adding a truly elite 3&D guy who can absolutely light it up from 3P land and play solid defense. Maybe Jabari evolves into that dude, who knows? But it's definitely something we're seeing happen more and more as the season goes on and I hope we can find a way to address it, because these two guys are clearly the best of our young core IMO.
"Nothing happened with Sengun last night so he will be available to play tonight." -Ime. No load management.
That kind of shooter, absolutely. I do wonder whether Johnson specifically is a good enough defensive player. Guys who can play high-end defense and they're that level of 3P threat are obviously highly prized around the league
You initially said solid defender + Cam Johnson is that. Kid is high IQ + plus effort so would become an Ime favorite.
I've seen a lot of mixed reviews on his defense from Nets fans--honestly haven't watched him play a ton though.
Much better defensively early in career but has always been known as switchable + good help defender, best matchups are on wings + forwards. Struggles vs fast guards + big centers.
It is a lengthy hiatus but your assumption is lots wilder. If that got him banned, Musk would be banned billion times and not sitting in government.
Can you do the search for Sengun posts for us so we don't have to wade through the Twitter cesspool like peasants?
this looks like it should’ve been a game where our “All-Star” and “franchise player” steps up and puts the team on his back, but instead we get a whopping 10 points
It's not easy to score points when you're instructed to spam dribble handoffs with Jalen Green, Cam Whitmore, and Aaron Holiday. But it's probably time he should adopt Cam Whitmore and Jalen Green's "F*ck it, I'll shoot the ball and there's nothing any of you can do about it" approach.
y’all gotta stop it with these excuses, this just makes Sengun look so weak and he was 4-10 anyways which is crap Sengun has worse scoring efficiency than Jalen Green so far this season, and Jalen isn’t a big man who takes the vast majority of his shots right at the rim
