Oh, I like: "I built a great relationship with Coach Sampson, Coach White and the rest of the staff. They have a plan to develop me, and I trust them," Cenac told ESPN. "I know Coach Sampson is going to coach me hard. I want that and I need that. I am a coachable player. People see Coach Sampson only on the court -- he has a good sense of humor, and he is really a funny guy." Cenac is shaping up to be a projected lottery pick in the 2026 mock draft. "I want to go to a winning program and produce to help them win even more," Cenac said. "At the same time, they can help me develop my game for the next level after Houston." ... Top-10 prospect Cenac joins a group that already includes top-25 guards Isiah Harwell (No. 14) and Kingston Flemings (No. 21) and four-star guard Bryce Jackson. I wish Roberts was a Junior, and I wish Walker had stayed in school another year or so
Arceneaux looked great last night, until he came down from that beautiful back-cut & two-handed dunk limping badly. I said a prayer to St. Joseph and the basketball gods old and new for him. Man I hope he's okay with that Achilles repair.
I watched him last night on the post game press conference and Arc said he was fine. One of the reporters asked him about it and he said he was just a little tired and having to get in to condition to play the minutes he played last night. He only played 22 minutes. Before Sharp''s injury he was not getting those type of minutes. Sharp's injury has been a blessing in disguise as it has given Arc more floor time. He has so much potential just seems a little unsure of his role at times.
Whether it's the Astros playing at 2:00 pm on a Wednesday to start the postseason, the Texans getting every Saturday afternoon playoff start, the Cougars getting pushed to ESPNU for an emergency Lakers game, it always feels like sports networks view Houston like Milton from Office Space.
Anyway, Sampson's Cougars now have their tenth straight 20-win season. In the previous 31 seasons before that, the Cougars only had seven total 20-win seasons.
And to additionally put that into historical perspective Guy Lewis only won 20 games in a season four times in a row. He did that twice. What CKS has done here building our men's basketball program is unreal. And with maybe the best collection on talent coming next year it appears we can look forward to this level of excellence for at least another year or two. Whatever they are paying him it is not nearly enough.
There will be a statue of CKS at some point. If he gets the Natty it will be when he retires. He know has the top players that want to be treated like family, coached to be better, and win all looking at this program over most all and equal to any of the blue chips. 100 weeks ranked let that sink in.
i think we have the hardest remaining schedule out of all the big 12 contenders. not saying we are winning them all, but i think we win them all.
I really hope the Lakers get bounced in the first round. Cowboys are terrible so that's good. We'll see about the Yankees.
No AAU prima-donnas, you have to want to work. Much respect for his program. It's funny to look back on how much I absolutely ****ing hated him when he was at OU. We've both grown up since then.
That's a brutal schedule. Got to win the home games and maybe split the away games. Oh shoot, let's just win them all.
