Yeah I can't say impressive is the word I'd use at the moment.

The word I'd use is endeavor, I can acknowledge and appreciate this admins current endeavor.

Using the word impress to describe the actions taken so far indicates quite a bit else.

Imagine thinking the guy whos eliminating the cfpb aka financial regulators who help protect Americans from fraud is somehow fighting corruption. With all due respect like are you able to use your brain at all?

You are okay with Trump firing the Inspector Generals who were investigating abuse and fraud in the Pentagon?

I guess I'm speaking to the people who are not cheerleading for any particular identity politician, but I feel for you the ones who are watching things and feeling let down that there's not really much difference between this guy and many other presidents. It must be hard to have watched Biden and Kamala and now this. It's probably not wrong that he was the best option, that's the sad part.

People are struggling worse every year in America and nothing ever seems to change without getting changed back. Hang in there, things will change eventually.

contrary to his campaign hypes / spins, as it relates to Wall Street

Dealmaking had its slowest month in January in more than a decade. A prized tax break for hedge funds and private equity firms came under threat.
And big banks got grilled over whether they "debanked" certain customers.

These complications were not part of the plan when Donald Trump was elected in November, an event that set off a round of optimistic predictions about
an Merger & Acquisitions boom, looser rules and a more favorable approach to big Wall Street firms in Washington, DC.

And new uncertainties surrounding the president’s tariff plans are leaving many businesses unsure about when to make big moves and
what direction borrowing costs might take in the weeks and months ahead.

Wall Street hates uncertainties more than it does for bad economic data / results.

The braindead cml750 just doesn't get it.

in 10.5 days the convicted felon has signed so many EO, where many were ruled unconstitutional by the court, to cause confusion

A good post. The one thing I'd like to add is that the exit from Afghanistan was negotiated by trump. What did President Biden do? He foolishly executed trump's agreement with the Taliban. Biden didn't have to. In fact, he should have said he wasn't going to use trump's exit strategy and instead used one of his own, methodically withdrawing from Afghanistan, retaining our military in the significant bases we had established and used for years until everything we wanted out, including getting those Afghans who helped us during the war out of that country and to safety. Instead? He seemingly raced out of Afghanistan in an act of chaos. It was obvious that chaos would ensue. Obvious to almost everyone except Mr. Biden, apparently, in my opinion..

I'm not sure what show you're watching.

Hits closer to home for me than most of the insane crap Trump is doing. Sure, he's doing much worse things, but they mostly hurt other people. Gulf of Mexico in part of my culture as a Houstonian.

I don't like how Trump discussed this topic - he is completely devoid of tact. Having said that, I do believe that an arrangement can be made that are fair where the USA gets long term access to mineral deposits and a foothold in Ukraine and the Ukrainians get continued support from the USA.

If I were a Trumper I would not be at all happy about these discussions as he campaigned on getting out.

Hol up, I'm in a cult because I don't like corrupt agencies spending tax payer dollars on bs? You wanted for FEMA and USAID to continue funding leftist propaganda and complete ridiculous things overseas? Like, seriously? You ok with it? Look, I get it... Orange man bad, everything he does or say is bad in your world except that its not true...

When Obama was deporting illegal immigrants ya'll were happy, when Trump does it its racist.... You gotta start opening your eyes instead of teaming up with a political party just because.

I'm not in a cult, when Trump does something I disagree with I'll say it..... He is going to make mistakes, I won't support those mistakes... So far thou, I just cant fathom how anyone would side with the IRS and USAID .... Oh, maybe its because your cult requires you to....

53-47 really isn't that strong for a President that is in the height of the honeymoon of his election.

PEW has his approval rating at 47%.

FWIW the average approval rating for an elected President going back to Eisenhower is 62% at this point in his term,

So, it is a situation of whether the glass is half empty of half full.

He is doing slightly better than he did at this point in his first term - but he still is doing poorly from an historical level.

A deeper dive into some of the data shows that a majority of Americans believe that he has so far delivered on what he said he would do and that he has been effective at getting what he wants done. However - whether his policies were beneficial were nearly 50/50 and 67% of all those polled in the PEW poll said he has NOT done enough so far for economic issues. That can be a vulnerable issue..... his tariffs on Canada and the pardoning of the January 6 rioters also are universally unpopular.

So basically - it is too early to really tell anything, which makes sense.
