Do you really think that forcibly removing Palastinians from their land and the US taking over Gaza is a good idea? Do you think that the rest of the Middle East, most of which aren't exactly our biggest fans, would sit back and happliy allow the US to set up shop there? I absolutely do. Aside from the fact that I don't believe the United States of America should be in the business of ethnic cleansing no matter what. That's what this is. Every single country that has done this has been on the wrong side of history. It's pure evil, period.
ethic cleansing has historically meant some form of genocide. I would think of this as resettlement, and they honestly do not have to go very far. Gaza is historically and geographically unnecessary. send them to the West Bank, and offer Jordan the opportunity to annex it if they want. they could call it...Trans Jordan.
The literal definition of ethnic cleansing is "the systematic forced removal of ethnic, racial, or religious groups from a given area, with the intent of making the society ethnically homogeneous." Doesn't have to include murder.
Ya genocide and ethnic cleansing are two separate things. You can have an ethnic cleansing without a genocide but you can't have a genocide without an ethnic cleansing. Also if we see 6 figures death tolls in a population of 2 million, smaller percentages of ethnic population being killed have been labeled genocides also.so this would be considered one too. Right now it's impossible to count the death toll due to all the rubble

I don't think Trump cares two ***** if Gazans return or not. He just cares about investment opportunities. This is something Israel will demand and Trump will capitulate because he obviously will listen to the Israeli government over whatever entity is speaking for Palestinians right to return. So the motive aspect needs to be asked in regards to what is Israel's motive not Trump's. And for Israel, a homogenous state is the end state goal.
