It’s genocidal speak. This is how people spoke during the holocaust

he would condemn the little children to death too if he could

Accepting a massive influx of refugees from a war-torn country is a huge risk, especially without a guarantee that they will be permitted to return to their homes. A guarantee that Israel and the US will not make, and, even if they did, can hardly be trusted to uphold.

This isn't any sort of defense for calling these people, who have been terrorized for a year and a half and whose houses and hospitals have been bombed to oblivion, clearly with the intent to force them to leave their homes and never return, "subhuman".

Hamas is awful. Pretty much everyone here agrees with that and wishes they were out of the picture. But what we're seeing since October 7th is a concerted effort to cast all non-Jews under militarily-occupied Gaza and West Bank as "subhuman", to rationalize the apartheid conditions they are subjected to and a potential ethnic cleansing on the horizon.

Most of us could easily recognize the stench of referring to a people as "subhuman" when that rightly banned poster maypk did it in reference to Israelis.

    4 possibilities:

    1. Status quo -- indefinite military occupation of Gaza and West Bank, leaving the non-Jewish residents in those areas to live under apartheid conditions and periodic "grass-cutting" to deal with rising militancy. Long seen as acceptable to people in Israel and US who reject movement towards a 2-state peace plan (like Netanyahu and religious/neocon crazies in the US).

    2. A single democratic state that encompasses Gaza and West Bank territories in which Jews and non-Jews have the same rights. A non-starter for most Israelis and likey a good chunk of Palestinians as well who think the "Zionists" should leave.

    3. Israel takes over and strikes a deal with neighboring countries to take in the Palestinians and rid themselves of that problem. Obviously, this is what Israel wants because it gives them everything they wanted from the beginning. If Palestinians can be convinced to leave voluntarily with suitable compensation, and host countries can be found that are willing to absorb them, maybe it's a workable solution. Forced relocation and acquisition of a people's territory would be a major crime under international law. Israel and the US recognize this, so it's not something officials are quite calling for ... yet.

    4. Israel pauses and substantially withdraws from its illegal settlements in West Bank, works with PA towards a 2-state plan that marginalizes Hamas and other militant groups, Israel normalizes relations with surrounding Arab countries and thereby also marginalizes Iran.

Scenario 2 won't happen, even though many on the activist Left seem fixated on it.

Scenario 4 is what the majority of the world wants and a fair number of Palestinians and Israelis as well. As long as the political right holds power in Israel, there will be no progress towards it and the chances of it happening will become more and more remote. I don't hold out much hope for a 2-state solution at this point.

Scenario 1, with even more clamped down oppression of Palestinians, seems most likely to me for the foreseeable future.

Scenario 3, Israel's dream scenario if it can somehow be worked out in a way that Palestinians and Arab neighbors find acceptable. But I don't see that realistically as ever happening. Perhaps Israel can make life for them so utterly miserable, hopeless and unsafe that they are compelled to leave "voluntarily". That appears to partly have been the strategy with Gaza. And we are seeing more and more sweeping crackdowns on the non-Jewish population in the West Bank as well.

Noting the rhetorical move to pin the horrific crimes of Hamas militants who raided and murdered Jews on October 7th on "Palestinians" as a whole. If people can be convinced that all Palestinians are to be treated as guilty, that gives cover for Israel to carry out its bombings with impunity.

Trump scenario: US takes over Gaza , makes its economically sensible for foreign investment and tourism

end the Palestinians by making them Jordanians, Egyptians, or whatever country they migrant too. Once they become a citizen of another country , they will assimilate to that life.
For example, Palestinians and Jews are not attacking each other like the bloods and crips
    In America

It's a variant of Scenario 3. Practically its the same, since presumably Gaza will be open for Jewish settlement even while being closed off to its former residents.

How will Jordan and Egypt be convinced by the US/Israel to absorb a people who have their own national identity into their population? A hard sell for Trump, who sees accepting refugees as a form of national suicide.

They were both. That the people who ran the gas chambers were Germans doesn't make all Germans equally responsible for it.

But even that aside, I don't consider any human -- even the most morally depraved Nazi -- to be subhuman. Humans, in all their human-ness, are fully capable of the worst cruelty against other people they consider to be subhumans. The response to that isn't to double down on the notion that people are actually subhuman.

Germans with Nazis ideology. There were also alot of Germans who didn't share that view but couldn't do anything about it, like you with Biden :)

Germans have already distanced themselves from it n paid the price. Over 100k of German civilians died when Germany was falling, plenty of their women were raped by the Russians aka Red Army. That wasn't right either.

They also didn't put Hitler on a pedestal afterwards

So we all know the Jews and Palestinians have had a very long conflict.
Only one side has kidnapped Thai nationals who have nothing to do with that region.
They could have let them go along time ago.

if they lose their national identity so be it.
Also Palestinians in Jordan don’t necessarily agree with the ‘Gazans’
