ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Timberwolves 2/6/2025

It's definitely infuriating. I don't get why they get these random 2 day breaks between B2Bs. Why not play every other day? I understand that can't always be the case given other teams' schedules and the availability of arenas, but it's finally caught up to this team. They seem mentally and physically drained out there(and yes, the injuries have played a part in that).

We would be 7th seed after 4 more loss.
NBA possibly don't let Rockets win play-in games. The Spurs and Wolves are favorite.

 

Well at least we can manage our expectations accordingly, and I hope I am wrong, but first round exit for this team seems to be more realistic

 

And Green's shot looks flat again.

Yeah I don’t get the shot clock thing. Every game there’s no awareness. At least one a game. Just too many mistakes on offense. Every play counts. Between the bad reads, careless passing, and offensive fouls this team isn’t beating anyone at this rate

 

10-8 overall since Jabari broke his hand.

What's crazy is how streaky the Rockets have been in that stretch. They have a 5-game winning streak, a 4-game winning streak, and now 5-game(and counting?) losing streak.

 

I hope I got another 20 to 30 years in me. Do not write us off that recall when Rockets were royalty.

 

I don’t see us losing another 4 games in a row—and plus we do have a favorable schedule post all-star break. And with Bari and Fred coming back, along with Reed improving, it’s not like we’re gonna get WORSE

 

The Nets games are easy schedule.

 

The schedule is pretty light after the break, but they need to have everyone back in the lineup starting in that first game against Minnesota which is suddenly critical with them up 2-1 in the season series.

The key right now is salvaging what's left of the pre-break schedule. They have to somehow figure out a way to get 3 of these next 4 games.

 

Reed normally has a better assist to turnover ratio. It wasn't his best game, but turnovers certainly aren't his problem. Yeah, his shooting was off, but he only took 5 shots. He was good on defense, and maybe they should have just left him in the 4th quarter. There were guys with twice as many minutes as him that didn't get 2 steals and a block, and the entire team only made the shots the whole 4th quarter.

Rockets might be the worst team in the league at this moment

 

They just sold Luka to the lakers for a cup of angel hair pasta. if you think the NBA is going to let the rockets become a contender in the west.. The rockets had a chance to take that contender spot, now NBA is going to fight to put us below the teams that bring in more ratings.

Rocket becoming an early contender is going to lose the casinos money and nba is not going to like that.
