I do enjoy how the Rockets tease people. They decide to get another non shooting defensive player. Just awesome. We need more of those.

 

Are you expecting Tate, the 10th guy on our roster, to replace production from Sengun, FVV and Jabari Smith JR?

Springer's a little smaller than Josh Christopher in height and reach but did show off a 41.5-inch max vertical at the combine. He's poor (like he's unable to make shots) as catch-and-shoot, but let him put the ball on the floor or run in transition, and he's competent. And as highlights show, he does play D.

Laughably, JeSean Tate is the best current guard option on the Rockets bench. And that's sad. Holiday and Reed Sheppard have had lots of trouble on D, and Jalen and Brooks keep getting beat off the dribble (to say nothing about their inability to do anything constructive on the break). When Tate comes in, at least there's a burst of energy. Maybe Springer gives you another viable option.

Looks like another guy to throw at Reed in practice to sharpen him (or turn him into an absolute mess mentally)

 

He has not played for Ime when he was still coaching Celtics, right?

 

I'm expecting very little from another Stone favorite that cant shoot to save his life. There are far too many guys like Tate on the roster. He should be part of a package to get a guy who can get buckets.

 

I guess it's good when people are complaining about end of bench guys.

 

Since he's been getting about 15 mpg, yes. Since FVV got hurt, no.

 

Maybe he'll trade Tate, who according to you sucks, for an all star. Come on, Stone. What are you waiting for?
