your 1/6 patriot/hostage/hero pleaded guilty to multiple felonies including assault of a police officer. pretty pathetic that anyone would retweet something like this from this lying traitor. he refused to answer their questions, but mr. bad ass pled guilty to multiple felonies including assault of a police officer. https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/...w-enforcement-and-other-offenses-during-jan-6 Hughes previously pled guilty to two felony offenses, including assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and civil disorder. In addition to the felonies, Hughes also pled to the misdemeanor offense of impeding passage through the Capitol grounds or buildings. According to court documents and evidence presented during the sentencing hearing, on Jan. 6, 2021, in Washington, D.C., Hughes was present in the vicinity of an area known as the Lower West Terrace Tunnel for almost two hours. The Tunnel was the site of some of the most violent attacks against law enforcement that day. Hughes wore a custom black and camouflage print hat with a frayed brim, distinctive black Mechanix gloves, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and a black “Infowars” branded shirt with an image of a space shuttle and the words ‘Space Force Est. 2020” written on it. Court documents say that, at approximately 3:15 p.m., Hughes was at the mouth of the Tunnel and signaled the crowd of rioters, “C’mon! C’mon!” while waving his hand in the direction of the Tunnel. After signaling to the crowd, Hughes entered the Tunnel and charged toward the police line. Inside the Tunnel, Hughes continued to signal others to enter and confront the police line by pushing against the officers at the front of the line. Hughes then stood shoulder-to-shoulder with others and began to rock back and forth in a synchronized movement with the crowd. At about 3:18 p.m., Hughes called out to other officers to “grab” an officer’s shield and then assisted the mob with forcefully removing police riot shields and passing them out of the Tunnel. Hughes also personally attempted to forcefully pull away police shields and pass them out of the Tunnel back to the other rioters. At approximately 3:19 p.m., as Hughes was being forced out of the Tunnel by police, he grabbed a police officer’s baton and tried to pull it from the officer’s grip. Hughes then used his elbow to strike that police officer before striking the officer twice with his fist. The officer was then pulled from the tunnel and was accosted by the rioters on the Lower West Terrace. After he was pushed out of the Tunnel, Hughes remained in the vicinity of the Tunnel for at least 90 minutes. During this time, Hughes encouraged other rioters to “Pull the cops out!”

A sheriff’s deputy in northwestern Indiana will not face charges in the fatal shooting during a traffic stop of a man who days earlier had been pardoned by President Donald Trump for a misdemeanor related to the 2021 US Capitol riot. The Jasper County deputy was “legally justified in using deadly force to defend himself” in the January 26 killing of Matthew Huttle, the Clinton County prosecutor’s office said in a release. The deputy had stopped Huttle, 42, of Hobart for driving 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. When informed that he was under arrest for being a habitual traffic violator, Huttle ran back to the driver’s seat of his vehicle and “reached in a manner consistent with retrieving a weapon,” prosecutors said Thursday. Huttle and the deputy then struggled. The deputy fired multiple shots after seeing Huttle raise a firearm while stating “I’m shooting myself,” according to prosecutors. Investigators found a loaded 9mm handgun and additional ammunition inside Huttle’s vehicle. Police dash camera video also confirmed Huttle raised “an object” while inside the vehicle. cops cleaning up the streets and getting rid of the riffraff
A jury has convicted a Jan. 6 defendant for killing a 35-year-old woman in a drunken wrong-way crash on an Illinois highway but acquitted him of the most serious charge. Shane Jason Woods, 47, was previously convicted of assaulting a press photographer and police at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 before receiving a pardon from President Donald Trump. On Wednesday, the Illinois jury found Woods guilty of reckless homicide, aggravated driving under the influence and aggravated fleeing and eluding — but cleared him of the first-degree murder charge that could have sent him to prison for life. Instead, he faces between three and 14 years in prison when he’s sentenced, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. Woods, apparently upset after an argument and then facing a decade in prison for his role in the Jan. 6 riot, got behind the wheel on Nov. 8, 2022, after leaving a bar. He then sped away from a traffic stop before crashing head-on into the car driven by Lauren Wegner, killing her. The now-convicted felon took the stand on his own defense on Wednesday, according to a courtroom report from the Sun-Times. He spoke of how his involvement in the Capitol riot weighed on him and how he was “national news.” “Millions and millions of people hated me,” he reportedly testified. Woods said that as his marriage fell apart in 2019 and 2020, he began to closely follow politics. Asked if he was an “ardent” supporter of Trump, he reportedly said he was “an ardent supporter of Americans.” Wegner’s parents wore her ashes is necklaces around their necks and held them as the verdict was read, per the Sun-Times. Her father told the newspaper afterward that he and his wife were “not totally happy with the verdict. But we can’t argue with the verdict.” A former cop whose relative was dating Woods at the time saw him and also stopped. He could be heard on dashcam footage telling another officer that Woods was “involved in that Capitol deal.” But Woods fled from the traffic stop, and sped north down the southbound lanes of I-55. Wegner happened to be driving south on the highway and collided head-on with Woods’ pickup truck. A fiery ball erupted after impact, instantly killing Wegner and breaking nearly every bone in her body, prosecutors reportedly said. Investigators had to identify her through her nail polish. “Lauren died because she was in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Prosecutor Derek Dion reportedly said during his opening statement. “And she couldn’t get out of the way.” According to a police report, Woods’ blood alcohol level was .177 after the crash — more than twice the legal limit in Illinois. Why do the scum always live to see another day?
