They did her dirty at 1:15 in that video when that captioned her as saying "I axe for your support..."

It was Dem leadership giving him exposure with that cabinet level position.

Def not a Best and Brightest moment for demonstrating Progress.

I normally wouldn't either because it gets underreported or doesn't fit the message.

Many Americans Say the Democratic Party Does Not Share Their Priorities
A poll from The New York Times and Ipsos found that Americans believe abortion, L.G.B.T.Q. issues and climate change concern Democrats more than the cost of living.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2025/02/02/us/democrats-ipsos-poll-abortion-lgbt.html

    excerpt:

Many Americans say they do not believe the Democratic Party is focused on the economic issues that matter most to them and is instead placing too much emphasis on social issues that they consider less urgent.

Asked to identify the Democratic Party’s most important priorities, Americans most often listed abortion, L.G.B.T.Q. rights and climate change, according to a poll from The New York Times and Ipsosconducted from Jan. 2 to 10.

The issues that people cited as most important to them personally were the economy and inflation, health care and immigration, the poll found. The kinds of social causes that progressive activists have championed in recent years ranked much lower.

As Democrats gather in Washington this weekend to elect the next chairman of their party, and debate how to most effectively counter the Trump administration, the latest public opinion surveys contain worrisome signs for them.

The country remains deeply divided over Mr. Trump’s leadership, with roughly equal shares of people saying that his second term is cause for celebration or concern.

But the poll suggests that people do not view the Democratic Party as an appealing alternative.

In a broad sense, the poll, which surveyed a representative sample of 2,128 adults nationwide, found that Americans think the Republican Party is more in sync with the mood of the country. The issues that people said mattered most to Republicans were also, for the most part, the issues that mattered to them: immigration, the economy, inflation and taxes.

I, for one, am shocked that the American people do not put LGBTQ+ and illegal immigrant issues before their own well being. What a bunch of racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobes. How dare anyone not bow at the alter of the woke? God bless America? No, God damn America.

Democrats ran on defending institutions many Americans are losing trust in and democracy propping up neoconservatives you probably bootlicked 15 years ago.

To think the Democrat party campaigns on lgbtq issues as their centerpiece is loony tunes territory and I know exactly how this happens. People absorb content of the ideological group or political party they hate through the lense of both algorithmic filters and political influencers and pundits reacting to small clips of Democrats saying something about lgbtq people and assume that is the only thing they talk about. Whatever sources you depend on to be spoon-fed talking points aren't going to bring up content of Democrat politicians talking about price fixing scandals nationwide on the rental market. Because the agit prop you consume wants you to believe the opposition party only cares about culture war issues.

Donald Trump makes it easy for us to know what right wingers care about. And its superficial red meat.

No, I just watched what actual Democrats said on the campaign trail. They can't shut up about minorities, LGBTQ+ issues, abortion, gun contol, migrants, or whatever other extreme minority position. It is in nationally televised debates and campaign ads. You want to believe that the core of the Democrat party is some sort of grassroots, populist, everyman, union, working class, big tent party. I am under no obligation to play along. The Democrats have increasingly marginalized themselves. I won't pretend that they are going to become a permanent minority party or utterly collapse a la the Whigs. The Republicans will govern too far in the other direction and there will be an adjustment. The point is there needs to be an adjustment. If the Democrats run on the same LGBTQ+, minority, illegal immigration platform they did in 2024, they are not going to win. I expect they will instead capitalize on economic missteps by the Trump administration and take back at least the House in 2026.

I figured if you are just going to restate your premise I already know with different wording I'd just copy and paste my explanation of why you are wrong until you don't reply to me or address what I actually type.

I watched the conservative agitprop of the Rachel Maddow show, The Bulwark, The Majority Report with Sam Seder, TYT, and John Oliver. I watched Kamala Harris and Tim Walz and Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. I saw them elect David Hogg as the vice chair of the DNC. You don't like it, but the Democrats spent a lot of time talking about the things I said, and not a lot of time talking about landlords and the programs they use to calculate what to charge for rent. Keep pretending the Democrats don't shoot themselves in the foot though. I hope there are many more idiots like you that refuse to see what is wrong with the strategy of the Democratic Party and they keep losing.

‘Twenty big cities, Aspen and Martha’s Vineyard’ are what remain of Democratic party: Former candidate
    by Lauren Irwin
    02/02/25 11:03 PM ET

Adam Frisch, a former Colorado Democratic House candidate, said there are just a handful of cities that make up the Democratic Party today.

“Twenty big cities, Aspen and Martha’s Vineyard—that’s what’s left of the Democratic Party,” Frisch told The Wall Street Journal. “And I’m not exactly sure those 20 big cities are getting the best version of the Democratic Party.”

Frisch lost his House race in November to Republican Jeff Hurd (Colo.). He would have represented the area of the Rocky Mountains that includes Aspen, a wealthy ski town celebrities flock to year-round.

As Democrats assess their wounds and try to find out where their messaging went so wrong with voters in the recent election, they have begun to examine Democratic strongholds and what their makeup means.

The remarks come just after the Democratic Party elected a new leader. Ken Martin was chosen to lead the Democratic National Committee and David Hogg was chosen as vice chair.

Martin and Hogg have a big undertaking, as recent surveys show the American people have a largely unfavorable view of the party.

LMAO. I often wonder why this mispronunciation is so prevalent in the black community. "Ask" seems like such an easy word to pronounce.

Do people agree with Colorado Democrat Adam Frisch that the Democratic party has been reduced to the party of 20 big cities + Aspen + Martha's Vineyard?

No you spent your time consuming social media algorithms and right wing cult of personality influencers clip chimp content of liberal and left media that spoon fed you a narrative of what they care about. I don't sit down and watch Rachel Maddow. Neither do you. No one does except upper middle class stay at home liberal moms. So don't give me this BS you watch leftist content. If you watched Sam seder you'd be annoyed by his social security rants, not his coverage of lgbtq issues lol. Leftists cover lgbtq issues only when they see people like you use them as scapegoats for why you can't exploit labor enough.

I can tell what the Right cares about by looking at a aviation disaster and the leader of the American Right movement in America blaming dwarves for it. No need to clip chimp.
