no doubt Jalen struggled immensely last night. it's a shame that his And-1 bucket got waved off for some reason. That was HUGE moment in the game that is getting overlooked for some reason. he has struggled whenever we don't have a true PG out there. having him being the main ball handler isn't going to let him thrive.
udoka also has to take some of the blame for not pushing for more calls. he's probably worst coach in the league at getting anything out of the zebras. just sits with a scowl and the few times he does say something it's typically hollow profanity that just gets him a tech. meanwhile, guys like thibs are constantly riding the zebras scratching and clawing for every possible advantage for his players
Ime knows though that our team gets away with a TON of fouling.......our rep allows physical play. DD
I'm 100% with you but I also think a lot of this is on the players too. One thing I remember Harden doing when I used to live in Houston and go to games is that he talk to the refs a lot. A lot of the time he would go talk to the refs for the entire TV timeouts, I assume telling them exactly how hes getting fouled. Like if you go to a ref and say "every time I drive by him on the right side he's tugging at the back of my jersey because he thinks you can't see it." And then immediately when you get back in the game you drive by that guy and he tugs on your jersey, the ref is going to call it. And the ref is going to think to himself "oh, that has been happening all game, and I've been missing it." I think that's a powerful psychological thing that can work to your advantage. On the other hand we have Jalen who seems to just play his game and not worry about this at all, we have Udoka who antagonizes the refs, and then we have Sengun who just whines and complains about every call on every single play down the court. I think some of this ref gamesmanship would go a long way, and I think this kind of thing is way more important than just "well boys we better start flopping." I think the ref gamesmanship is a lot more important and effective than just flopping around.
Lucky for us he (JG4) is turning 23. Most players peak around age 27 or 28. Many Celtics fans think Jaylen Brown has been garbage all year. Brown pay this year ($49.3M) and Green salary this year ($12.5M) are a tad different, (can jump to 8:03)
I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen. I'm going to stop being fooled by Jalen.
Dude still light in the ass.. Another offseason of muscle and dribbling training should do wonders.. After the 1st 3 months of next season of him doing the same inconsistent bs , **** him!
He just didn’t seem that into the game tonight mentally. This was a December Jalen game. Gotta be way better than this
Hahahah how do you do anything but laugh at Udoka giving the ball to Jalen Green for a game winner. Boy oh boy that extension is as dumb today as it was the day they gave it to him.
I do not like his decisions, but defense was good in the 4th. Shouldn't have shot that quick 3 in the end.
