Cam was turning the ball over and was out of control in the beginning of the 4th. I agree with playing Holiday more but shouldn't we hold the players accountable for playing horrendously? Is it too much to expect Jalen Green our 4th year 30+ milliion star to generate some offense? Holiday was also getting completely cooked by Brunson and was racking up fouls.
I was literally thinking about this while watching the Rockets implode. If we had Cade Cunningham this team would already be a championship contender. When Detroit played us Cade was getting his own shot and generating offense similar to a SGA/Brunson. The pistons will never trade Cade for Green.
Fred is not the problem. In fact he’s deferred a lot this season to the younger guys. The Rockets don’t have a consistent shooting guard or anyone to close out games.
How he responsible for the whole comeback in the 3rd when we ended the 3rd up 11 He took 9 3s and 5 of them were bailout shots I know a few folks on here have a agenda they like to push so I actually keep count of BS like that now cause yall jump on here and be like he was 1-9 from 3 he shot us out the game … We won every qtr but the 4th and it wasn’t on JG who actually made shots in the 4th outside the drive they didn’t call foul on and the charge on Brunson. (Which was BS cause Brunson and Hart drive like that all game and get sent to the line)
I agree 1000% with the accountability thing, and it’s absolutely true that Jalen is a super frustrating playing to root for at times—going back to his whole career too, not just this season. This is honestly the first season where I’ve really seen improvement over the course of the year, which is why I’m way more of a “Jalen Apologist” than I’ve ever been in the past few years. I’m also absolutely biased and an unreasonable homer so my takes will always skew towards the optimistic, even when optimism doesn’t always make sense. And I absolutely am not calling you a hater at all, my bad that it came across that way!
Yeah and if we had Luka and Jokic I'm sure this team would be even better. I'm not sure what the hell the point of your post is we never got the chance to get Cade.
Jalen was clearly playing through something--he was limping, limping, limping. I again wonder how much of his inconsistency is due to playing through minor injuries other guys would sit out for. He also was again subject to referee malfeasance, but what else is new? What can he do about this? Well, maybe he shouldn't be quite so tough. I'm glad he wants to play every game, but if he's too injured to play well--just sit down, young man. And, as I said earlier--he needs to get better at making buckets when challenged at the rim. Brunson regularly goes to that little reverse layup, or manufactures a foul by flopping. The latter is annoying, but effective. Jalen's game when attacking the rim is a little too straight-forward. Either make it harder for the refs not to call a foul, or get more creative with your finishing so it doesn't matter. Or both. Anyway, as hard as I've been on JG at times, I thought he was in attack mode a lot tonight, not just jacking up bad jump shot after bad jumps hot. So I cut him a little slack. But there are still things he clearly needs to work on.
Yeah sure that too. But those are still NBA teams and the team, especially Jalen, played great over that stretch.
You mean like how you are claiming Udoka is insecure about Brickpard? Is that a fact? 0/2 is a fact keep crying. Brickpard is a FACT. 0/2 AGAIN. Almost perfect shooting mechanics with 0/2 is that a fact????
Nah ur good fam, I didn't misinterpret what you said or take any offense. I hope Jalen figures it out too but a lot of fans are losing patience.
The point was that there is a major difference between the first and second pick. One player has IT while the other doesn't and most likely will never develop it.
So what? Nobody ever said JG is a superstar, even the Rockets didnt pay him like one. You trying to argue about something nobody ever said. Every single loss if we had Jokic, Giannis and Luka we prob won that game don't you think? Doesnt mean ****. On whether JG will ever develop into a superstar nobody knows. Again this is why he just got signed to a 3 yr deal..
I’m not at all arguing the point that Jalen is off the charts inconsistent. Just saying they went on that tear without Alpi in part because Jalen was thermonuclear hot and also we played a very soft schedule, as has been noted. But idk what you mean by Jabari generating looks.
Every game is different. We didn't have a matchup for JJJ, that's who hurt us against Memphis. NJ was a fluke game but at the pace they were running, it wasn't a Sengun type of game but also FVV was out too. This game all they were shorthanded.
I meant the spacing has been awful without Jabari and our offensive rebounding has fallen off a cliff. When Ime had that small lineup in KAT was eating us inside and out.
Lol if you were watching the game then you'd know Green going to the bench was the start of us coming back down from 3 to taking that double digit lead. Prior to that he was playing terribly for a stretch that absolutely lost us the lead. In the 4th he hit a long baseline J and a layup. I don't really remember much else. I do agree he deserved more calls, but his sloppy play really hurt us for most of the 3rd, and he wasn't a very positive impact in the final quarter.
