We don’t run no offense to get easy shots outside of transition - it’s dribble handoff or High PnR - drives me nuts cause teams then just pack paint in 4th and we go through droughts
I'm frustrated with losing games when they slip through our fingers, fading in the fourth quarter after front-running the whole game. And I'm with you that Rome wasn't built in a day. But it did require incredibly well-time political maneuvers. The dynasty didn't just happen over time, and I'm not convinced you can win in the NBA by the moves you make in the offseason and on draft day. At some point, you must be able to manipulate major maneuvers during the season. And we're seeing other teams make those moves all around us. In our case, exchanging a piece that could shore up a glaring weakness (or maybe 2) would be so beneficial. And we should stay attentive because a star could fall from the sky. It just happened a day or so ago.
Yeah, Jalen had an avg game, he could have played better but we are w/o 3 starters. And the Refs were not calling fouls against him either but it is what it is.
Shocking. He doesn’t take accountability. A perfect coachh for this team. It’s no surprise they keep doing the same thing every game.
Think he was going at Amen and Brooks with that last comment. I like it, he needs to be hard on these kids for losing these games. We are going to be playing a lot more clutch games down the stretch and in the playoffs.
I feel like more people dislike Jalen than like him on this forum. The majority are ambivalent. It’s not like there’s a huge cadre of people coming to Jalen’s defense on the forum—just a few of the same guys (like maybe four, including me). That said it’s probably also like only four guys that really hate Jalen too, so I guess it balances out?
What is Ime supposed to do? We paid Green 30+ million and he decides to play like **** every other game. If we had a real star at the two and our lineup was healthy this would have been a blow out.
I kinda dont even want to watch tomorrow. I'd rather miss us winning than see us lose to them again within a few days...
Jalen was awful how do you not see it. He was literally responsible for the entire comeback by himself in 3rd quarter. Turnover, bad shots, turnover, got blocked, didn't get back on d. Literally our entire lead evaporated on 5 possessions where he tried to play hero ball. How do you throw the ball away on a 2 on 1 fast break..... That being said he doesn't get a fair whistle. He was getting hammered on some of those drives and then they finally call a foul and say he's not in shooting motion? Cmon. Also Brunson was nowhere close to being set on that charge. Such a flopper. and this why the nba ratings suck, literally for 3 quarters they let us play physical tough defense. All of sudden in the fourth they called every single touch foul on the rockets. They were in penalty with like 9 minutes left. Such a joke. Knicks doubled our free throws... they say they want to get flopping out the game but players like Brunson and Trae get all the calls.
And the chemistry Reed already has with Cam. That’s when they built the lead and kept it going with Holiday. Then Jalen comes back in….
Idk, play Holiday and Cam instead of letting Brooks and Jalen derail. What can the coach do? Seriously..? We’re losing the same way every time. That’s on the coach.
I don't hate Jalen, I was dancing when he was hot 3 weeks ago. The problem is that we need to hold our players accountable for ******** the bed. Jalen Green has been doing this up and down performance for 4 years now. Compare to Anthony Edwards who has been in the league 5 years and is already leading the team and carrying them in the clutch. There is literally no defense for his performance in the clutch the last 5 games. Some players have it and others don't. Its like football, Jalen Green is equivalent to Jared Goff, someone who can get his numbers but at the end of the day when you need them they just can't do it. We can wait another 10 years and it'll be the same movie I've seen 1000 times.
The Rockets had 15 free throw attempts. The Knicks had 30 free throw attempts. Jalen Brunson alone had 14 free throw attempts.
10-3 without Jabari, including wins over the Celtics, Cavs(2), Grizzlies(2), Lakers 0-3 since Sengun went out How did they go 10-3 without him?
Agree. Cade Cunningham is already far better than Jalen even though he missed tons of games due to injuries. I've run out of patience.
Just like I said, this game was.lost defensively. We had no INTERIOR DEFENDER. That is not Sengun! You would think more people would know more about BASKETBALL. Our defense has been slipping since Jabari went down.
You know this but play coy. They shot 40%+ from threes, starting 3 games prior to Sengun getting hurt and ending right before the GS. , that and teams they faced were terrible playing scabs who we had already beat earlier in the year.
