1 million at a 40k price. 80k is a very high price for mainstream vehicles.

The only thing I care about the CT is bidirectional charging, 48vdc bus and steer by wire. Put that in a midsized SUV.

When it was announced, Tesla wasn’t this polarizing of a brand.
Driving a CT is not for the faint of heart.

The Cybertruck is a vanity project by Musk whose sales are kneecapped by the insane design.

He is the emperor of Tesla and is accountable to no one.

Imagine if those resources were used for a more normal truck, or a true SUV like the R1S...or a cheaper hatch?

smh. decided to waste so much effort because his kid challenged him..

tesla is only profitable because of emissions trading. if you look at the no. cars they move per qtr and not percentages/market share. their sales are actually very steady. that's the problem for tesla, as more ev's enter the market and ice vehichle manufacturers make their own. those carbon credits start to disappear. i would speculate it's the reason why they scrapped the $25k car for the robotaxi vapoware .they knew it would cannibalise their sales/kill profits.

Ouch. Smaller sample size, etc. Absolutely some caveats, but the data that exists doesn't seem great.

I mean, maybe it's more for D&D, but I was driving with a friend the other day and he spontaneously yelled out "f*&@ you!" at an otherwise innocuous CT, just for existing and, I assume, for its origins. I don't really care, but I think the design itself kind of says a big f you to the eyes of any innocent bystander, LOL. So intentionally hideous. (shrug)

Every time I see one, I have the same reaction to the first time I saw a Hummer...............WHY do you need this monstrosity of a vehicle. Now if you live in Alaska and need it for getting around OK, but if you work in downtown Houston and just need it to get to work and back then why.....just why? You cant park them easily and the dam thing is just ugly..............I guess if you have money to blow and need a status symbol then OK, but for simply getting from point A to point B its insanity. My Buick Envision will get to the same places you can go for half the price and I can park easily

Initially, I thought they looked interesting.

Now, I'd much rather have the Scout truck, which is marketed with retro back to basics truck appeal. Funny how that works.

Fun fact. The Cybertruck is smaller than a F150. Also, with a rear steerable axel, it makes it easier to park than most vehicles. Also, the tesla camara system makes tesla's one of the easiest vehicles to park on the road.

If all you care about is a vehicle getting you from point A to point B, why does it matter if its ugly?

You receive an F for objectivity.

If the price is right. my identity is not tied to my vehicle.

Conversely, I would never buy a jeep that I couldn't turn around and sell it for a profit 2 minutes later. I do have standards. They might be low standards, but I do have them

Did you watch this video someone here posted a while back? The Cybertruck is less maneuverable than you think.

Tesla's turning radius are adequate at best. The wheelbase on CT is also longer. Tesla's are not super maneuverable nor at they worst in industry.

What I am pointing out is the CT is not a massive vehicle. It is marginally smaller than than the average pickup truck like the ford f150. While the sharp distinct edges are a massive contrast to the bubbly mainstream look, its not a nuisance on the road like lift trucks (visibility issues to other drivers) or an unnecessarily loud distraction from modified vehicles (which should be illegal).
