Like we always said before that last month teams were actively tanking. When no one is tanking in Jan it's much harder..m
Cuz it wasn't just about bad teams it was about the players sitting out and the team they were fielding the last month. G league rosters out there.

If I pay both Amen and Sengun for Luka, could I flip Luka for pieces better than a Luka or Amen+Sengun.

I think Luka is overrated around the league, in which case there likely are GMs out there who will overpay for Luka.

So if the Rockets GM was good at wheelin' and dealing, then yes. BUT, I'd say our GM is more of the good at draft, risk-aversion type. Optionality.

If the front office lacks the rizz and relationships to pull it off, then the regular strategy of do nothing. We're good at that.

I personally wouldn’t, but I know that’s because I hate the way he plays, but absolutely you make that trade if you are Stone.

I would not. I’m wondering about his conviction to stay healthy. I also see see Sengun and Amen As players that will end up in the top 15 range in the NBA. I don’t see a lot of compatibility with his effort on defense and our current regime.

I’m sure there is some amalgamation of a trade that I would’ve made for him But we would’ve been paying much more than LA did. The Lakers got away with the trade because they are the Lakers and the Mavs specifically wanted Davis.

I think its equally stupid as Minnesota trading away Towns for Randle. Probably worse.

Who knows what they would’ve gotten via trade if they had just opened up the process to the entire league. But again, they are looking to re-tool and not necessarily rebuild.

I would have traded Jalen and Alperen for a top 5 MVP caliber 25 yo coming off a run to the finals.

No. I would’ve traded everyone, including all the first round picks, except amen and cam lol.

Only young person I would’ve been willing to trade is Reed. And I’m not sure if I would do that.

You think 2 top 15 players is better than one top 5 player at age 25?

Anybody smart would do this trade all day every day. Especially since Luka isnt eligible for the super max anymore he would just be making the max.

Luka while injured dragged his team to the Finals. Until Sengun and Amen can do that Luka is better.

In a heartbeat. 25-year-old MVP-caliber players rarely hit the trade block.

I'd give them Sengun, Jabari, Reed from our core

VanVleet, Dillon, Tate, Jeff Green, Holiday as fillers I push first

Nah…. Not both. The NBA is soooo athletic and skilled right now… Hard to justify giving up our best assets for superstar who doesn’t take care of their body.

Pairing Amen and Luka would be the path toward.

Kyrie was 50/40/90 last year + 25 ppg and 2.5:1 ast:to. His playoff stats were better than Luka until the the finals including multiple game winners.

Why the hyperbole? 23/24 Kyrie was a Super freaking duper star. Quit the slander breh.

The best package i would offer for Luka would be

    Jalen/Sengun/Phx picks

Your talking about a top 5, perennial MVP candidate, who is his own offensive system.

If you could surround him with amen, tari and jabari without sacrificing fred or dillon, you are instant title contenders.

    not both and picks

    probably not both even without

Sure you get Luka , and can build around him ... if he wants to stay

But thats also alot of belief in jalen and jabari.
