Just double checked the recent schedule. The Rockets are in the middle of a stretch in which they play 10 games in 16 days.

As if this is not enough, this stretch has THREE 3-games-in-4-nights sets. Brutal.

 

Again that has nothing to do with tonight’s performance. The team does have a “system” and should have won but played unenthused basketball. Udoka called 2 timeouts in first quarter because he saw this. Yet they didn’t play until late 4th qtr

We need Cam Johnson or a similar player by the Feb 6th deadline. Houston's weaknesses are being exposed without Sengun. Jabari's absence is indefinite. His 3 and D is very valuable.

 

I agree we need a player like that … but Jabari is that type of player and his absences is not indefinite. It’s a clean break in the non-shooting hand. It shouldn’t be an ongoing problem and he’ll be back in a few weeks. Giving something up for a redundant part just feels like a poor use of assets.

 

I hope so, because Alpi's absence makes this team.offense garbage..
And with addition to FVV as injured, ball will be in hands of Jalen and Amen and they can not manage even %5 of Alpi and FVV managing offensive flow..
Sad but true..
If Alpi',s injury takes longer, l don't see us #2 or #3, at best #5...maybe..

Houston has played and won without Sengun before so this isn’t the case. The issue was lack of effort and this has happened last 2 maybe 3 games. Just not sharp. Not making good decisions. Too many TO. Too careless with no urgency. Every possession counts

 

Rockets went into the game with the wrong mentality. It happens

 

2 or 3 times this year so far. Young teams do this, but man... (It's on the coaching staff to get their heads in the right place.)

 

Yeah, he should have kept that between him and Reed. And it’s true - he’s probably concerned about the upcoming schedule and just speaking his mind.

Ime is realizing that if FVV isn’t coming back for an extended period, they have no decent PG. Reed was supposed to be that.
