i don’t think silver’s finished yet, still has 5 days before the deadline to plunder another team’s serviceable big off their roster and make a good tv ratings run this postseason
You can find defense. The Lakers have players they can move easily to improve that. Two super elite playmakers...not so much.
The league made this deal happen. This is the most one-sided trade in the HISTORY of the league! Hell, the history of sports!! F the Lakers and the NBA!! Silver needs to go. The rest of the owners should protest.
I'm up at 3 am because this trade made me sick to my stomach... Lakers, one of my most hated teams was just gifted a generational player and don't even have to rebuild after getting LEBRON. wtf is this ****? Is there even a point of competing in the league anymore when shitty teams like the Lakers just get free generational players. How about Spurs getting Wemby for tanking one season?? This is like if we landed Wemby but then traded him for KD + a pick. I would just quit watching basketball altogether. Why the rest of the league have to do everything they can to acquire assets so when an all-star becomes available we trade like 4 picks for them but Lakers can just get gifted a 25yo MVP level player for one first round pick. bro I can't sleep because this ****ing trade is mind-warpingly bad.
I think this means LeBron gets traded. I’m thinking to the warriors and Luka will be the face of the lakers and build around him.
Luka must have requested this trade behind closed doors. No way Cuban just trades Luka like this. I think LeBron will be traded also and it will be Luka’s team. LeBron to the warriors with curry.
Good thing is the Mavs seem to be officially out of the WCF race....or at least odds drastically declined due to Kyrie and Davis both just being 1Bs. Fun to watch and brittle as glass.
Lol the Mavs just called Luka fat and named it the main reason, while it is true it is by far not a great look.
Marc Stein reported recently that Luka was going to sign the super max this offseason, and do you think that Luka would give up $100+ million by not agreeing to the extension?
