Kinda scary if the Mavs were motivated by financial reasons given the wealth of the Adelsons. This is the second team in less than a year(after Minnesota with Karl-Anthony Towns) that was on the cusp of a title only to willingly give away their one of their best players in order to avoid paying a supermax extension.

 

This is a disgusting trade. You always see Lakers fans thinking they can get any super star for scraps, and they are never in a position to offer the best package, and you remind them of that. Then things like this happen, truly unbelievable.

They just reset the market for star players.. Zion has similar conditioning issues, and plays far less games. I would throw expirings and the 2026 Rockets pick at them.

When the Mavs implode, which they seem to be headed that way, I think Rockets should offer up the Mavs pick they own in a deal for Kyrie this summer.
