Of course, but green was awful in nov, awful in dec, very good in jan. If you look at Shai, he has 5 games shooting under 40% this season. Everyone not named Jokic will have bad games, it's just about how often.
Come on Mr Stats. It results in the exact same number of wins. Maybe more, cause when he gets that hot it's game over for the opponent in general whereas if he's consistent that might not necessarily swing a game. Good or bad team it seems, when he's that hot we are winning. More consistency would help us game-plan a lot better and lengthen winning streaks for sure, but if his averages for 20, 30, 40 game stretches are looking good and achieving a new average every once in a while I'm happy. Consistency will take time, he needs those FT's, that depends on a lot of things he can't control right now (muscle, space in the paint, great offensive tactician, Sengun/Amen will improve their shooting). I think he can average just about 6 FT's in the second half and FT's are THE stabilizing force for star scoring guards. There's no stable big scoring guard who functions without it. He's got to get better at that and not settle for the 3 so much. Maybe when Jabari returns it will take 3pt pressure off and it becomes feasible. Right now the offense needs it though.
I'm not satin Green is anywhere close to the production of those guys. I'm saying you can hyper analyze any player and see that have atrocious stretches. Green has more of them at his current stage of his career than guys like Booker or Ant now sure. But even if Green makes significant strides to where no one is debating if he's a star or not, he will still have horrendous nights because of how modern guards utilize the three pointer.
I guess that's true, i took it as the rockets being a title contender lead by jalen/being an mvp level guy
Me pointing out the facts is very predictable indeed. I know some would prefer I lied, but that's really more a player only fan type thing to do. If you have a problem with the facts I point out, explain why you have a problem with those objective facts rather than just throwing a tantrum if you want to be treated like an adult.
I don't think "numero uno" means league MVP by the OP. It's just the Rockets MVP, which was not that high of a bar yet. BTW, I just took a peek at the OP. He predicted that by 2025 trade deadline, our starting backcourt would be Jalen and Cam, no mention of Alpi and Amen. Nobody is looking back at the beginning of this thread and pointing out how far off the prediction was.
He simply just ain't him. Would've thought he'd be coming out to drop 50, not picked for the All Star team (deservedly), no superstar teammate on the court holding him back, an embarrassingly woeful opposition. Yet same old Jalen.
Do you get money from engagement like YouTube comment sections? You need engagement to pay the rent? Does Clutch have a ad revenue program for posters here that I don't know of?
Gotta say, he did the right thing staying out of the paint. Jumper was off but he got 29 on 24 shots anyway. Only 1 TO. Would have turned it over a lot in the paint, they simply were not having it, any shot outside the paint was ok with them. The rest of the team was 9 of 28 from 3pt range they also have to do their job of making 3PT shots so that the Nets leave the paint. The team just seems tired right now but also maybe they need this punch in the face to not let the media hype get to their heads. All Star break can't come soon enough.
I thought Jalen was one of three players who played "ok" tonight (the other ones being Steven Adams and Reed Sheppard). Obviously the most offensive output. I have generally been pleased with Jalen's effort this season. Much better than in the past, on both ends of the court. And he seems like a good teammate. No complaints about him. I know the numbers don't look good (on/off, net rating, etc.), but he has been better than in the years before.
Dude was playing without an actual pg and an all star center. Thought he did pretty well considering the circumstances
