These are all the same things you were previously saying about KPJ. Please stop jinxing Cam! I don't want him to fall victim to the curse.

White definitely seems to have the perfect skillset and contract, along with some upside...He gives us so much flexibility...on the court, and rosterwise. As to minutes, he won't want for those. Certainly makes it easier to move FVV later. I, also, see him as a sixth man in the near future. Coby can D up, handle the ball, and knock it down.

As to what we give up...

I'm very hesitant about moving Cam...
But, Coby is a known commodity..

Would you offer Reed in this deal instead?

I never said any thing about him being the future. I never even said I wanted him over Jalen. Just saying your Jalen bias will make you hate him more than you should.

But with Jalen you have to choose a specific sample size. Do the last 4 games tell me how good Jalen was. Cam is at least consistent.

No no no no, I said KPJ could get anywhere on the court, and he has very good skill, but he doesn't have what Cam has, KPJ was much more of a maybe, because of his acknowledged mental hurdles.

Cam is just a dog, a winner, a leader, someone that wins games by bending other teams to his will......he has "IT".......still has work to do to get there, but if it were my team, I would be shopping Jalen this summer to clear room for Cam.....Jalen is too much of a passive player and Cam is a killer...

There is no curse, just fans haggling over what they like about players....curses are for mentally weak minded people.....don't jinx me.

    ;)

Cam was a top 5 talent coming out. People were actually debating if we should take him over Amen. He serves a definite need for us as instant offense off the bench and has some highlight plays. I say use him in that role and even expand his usage. If he will keep his mouth shut, someone will take the bait and think he’s a starter and the Rockets could get a good return for him. Then everyone’s happy. I’m not sure now is the time to pull the trigger.

This may be true, but I very much remember you wanting to trade our picks almost every year for the last few years.

DD doesn't like our draft picks until they become Rockets, then they instantly become future superstars :D

How about comparing to Cam's first 10 games this season? You know, when he averaged 8% from 3?

You're an odd dude, you know that? "You hate Cam because you love Green." For one, they don't even really play the same position - I view Cam more as a 3. Second, Green is my third favorite prospect after Amen in Sengun (in that order). A pretty distant third, honestly. I just don't like weirdos like you who always bash him without actually recognizing what's he's accomplished. And third...who even thinks this way? Are you a fan of the Rockets or beauty pageants?

I will say I wanted Scoot Henderson so I was wrong there and DD had Amen ranked higher.

To my defense, I also didn't know enough about Amen pre-draft since I couldn't get access to any games and I've seen like 10 games of Scoot's. I had Wemby then Scoot, then Amen (over Miller). I still think Scoot will end up having a good career, but nowhere close to Amen. Since Amen's preseason game I realized his athleticism was legit and not just because he was going up against younger players. He also knocked it out the park on interviews and very very early on I felt good that he would be our best player out of all of the young guys and still feel that way.

To be fair, virtually everyone had Scoot higher (including me).

I don't want anymore picks....lol we don't need them for the next 5 years. And as much as I like Reed, he can't develop here until FVV leaves.

That was LONG Before I studied the draft, you can ask @Clutch I had Amen 2 on my draft board after watching some videos and games.

He was just mesmerizing and athletic.......

    Wemby
    Amen
    Miller
    Scoot

    was my board.

I wouldn't having picks past 2026. Eventually, we're going to have to consolidate around 3 - 4 guys. The best ammo teams will have in the second apron era is access to cheap talent either in the draft or through trades for guys on good contracts using draft capital.
