When trump installs his own fed chair and they slash rates but inflation is still persistent it will only cause the economy to crash. I don’t recall Biden ever promising me to do price fixing that would bring down my cost of living in one day. I was okay with reasonable governance, realistic expectations…. Either way the media, and the pollsters were naive in their post election surveys and interviews that the vote had anything to do with economic hardships. Yes... people are angry about stuff costing too much. It does. That anger cannot be pointed at billionaires and greed because that's who Trump's policies benefit. They can't be pointed at corporations because again that's who Trump is going to be in bed with. The anger HAS TO be pointed at what isn't Trump, and isn't that voting base.... liberal cultural issues. Yes Democrats, and liberals that vote Democratic do things that maybe are annoying or weird... but that has nothing to do with the root of the anger. There's nothing about Drag shows, or unisex bathrooms at Starbucks that has anything to do with your daily life being a little more strained financially every day. It has nothing to do with your home owners insurance skyrocketing. It has nothing to do with supply chain issues. It has nothing to do with the job market. They are mad at people like me for things in their lives I had nothing to do with. In fact the people I vote for often do try to make those things better even if they don't have the power to immediately fix those problems. Still... because MAGA propaganda gives them to dopamine fix of rage aimed at people not entirely like them culturally.... that fix FEELS GOOD enough to justify ignoring the root of their anger.
