even if thats true, isnt that worse? he is "trolling" lefties while they are still pulling bodies out of the potomac. thats really the scenario you want to go with right now lil buddy?
Hey man I am not the Trumpian you think I am. I don't control what he says. He’s trolling you guys though. Yes, I’m glad he’s the president and not Kamala. Absolutely.
Well yeah - right now he can literally do anything he wants and very few question him and those that do question him are not getting media attention. Right now everyone is either afraid to question his extent of power, they like that he has almost absolute power or they are hopeless. Democracies and Republics survive against the power hungry by having rigid and firm boundaries. I have been thinking of President's that have had this level of power -- and the same few names are floated.... FDR, Washington and Lincoln. The only ones that I am comfortable saying had more power historically were Washington and of course Lincoln, who essentially **** all over the Constitution during the Civil War, but ultimately was wise and had the best interest of the Republic at heart..... I would say FDR had more as well during WWII. We will have to wait and see how this all plays out.
He can do it. What is and isn't truly Constitutional doesn't matter in January 2025 - what matters is what you can get away with and whether anyone will stop you. There may come a point where Trump regrets Barrett being appointed to the Court --- we will see. However, at this point Trump has proven that he can survive and even thrive through just about anything --- from sexually abusing women, multiple bankruptcies, impeachments, January 6th, losing elections and having someone shoot him in the ear.... the psychology is such that people see a man that seems to be able to survive all comers.
related new biography of Woodrow Wilson just came out--Wilson used to be in the Top Five or Top Ten conversation, now he's down around the Trump level in the basement. So who knows what might happen to Trump's reputation over time. I'm not very hopeful, but stranger things have happened.
so you like that trump is "trolling" the left while they are still pulling bodies out of the potomac. youre "glad" he is president while he is doing what you called others "idiots" for doing. youre in a cult dude.
-These ppl blamed biden for the train to go off the rail and crash in Ohio -These peopoe blamed Putin invading Ukraine on Biden - These same people blamed the bridge collapse in MD on biden and DEI - they blamed the hamas attack on Israel on biden somehow For the past four years these cultists @Tomstro have blamed democrats for every bad thing that happened and now suddenly they are upset when people turn the tables Its just the dumbest lowest iq cult of all time
This is a really good point. I remember being in high school and undergraduate and really admiring Woodrow Wilson and the way he was presented to us by our professors and the books we read - was that he was the first "modern" President, that he was very progressive (not necessarily politically) in how he viewed governance and the role that the public plays in government. He was in that group right below Washington, Lincoln and FDR ..... and some of the older historians actually had him in that group, ahead of Jefferson. Now - in large part because of a level of racism and fraternity with the "good ole boys", he is a parriah. The other one that I can think of that has really changed in the view of historians in Harry Truman. My relatives and graduate professors that lived through the Truman years thought that he was an absolute loser and had no business being near the Whitehouse, that he was a hay seed from Missouri that wasn't competent enough to run a rural hardware store. Now he is viewed above Reagan, FDR and Jefferson by some historians. I have for the last 5-10 years noticed a lot of rehabilitating of USS Grant as a President. There has been an effort to rehabilitate Jimmy Carter as well. From people that actually lived during Presidents - the most popular that I have heard is FDR and Eisenhower. I tried but have not found a single person alive in that era that had anything bad to say about Eisenhower. I have found people to say bad things about FDR and RR but nothing about Ike. I do wonder long term how Biden and Trump will be viewed - and a lot of it will come down to what happens AFTER they are out of office. Do we see the expansion of the Presidential powers cause issues in a decade? Fairly or unfairly Biden and Trump are attached at the hip like Kennedy and Nixon or Hoover and FDR.
Let’s assume this is his reason. The fact that you think this is remotely ok coming from any president is highly concerning. Especially the morning right after this disaster happened.
he was Mr. League of Nations yes, and the Ron Chernow biography of Grant is excellent on this score I suspect Biden will fall somewhat dramatically in the next couple of years and then level out. He will be solidly middle-of-the-pack . . . mediocre but not horrible nor great. Trump has a chance to really rise if he can pull off some of the reforms he's attempting. If he fails I suspect he'll be bottom quartile and stay there forever. as you say, time will tell
Like I said, I don’t tell him what to say or when to say it. The truth is, the lefty media was already blaming him as the plane hit the water. Their timing wasn’t so great either.
Not really. I think I am handling this angry liberal mob pretty well. Pretty much wiping the floor with em.
Woodrow Wilson wad a ****ing racist who turned the page back by reversing the desegregation that teddy put in place. He literally fired people of color and replaced them with white people for no reason other than skin color Wilson was a bigger racist than the right wing bigot who hates Muslims @AroundTheWorld
