I just don't understand the fascination with Fox for the Rockets. He just doesn't fit. He is a very good player, but needs 3 pt shooters around him to be a difference maker on a good team. If it was just FVV for Fox then sure it would be worth the gamble that Ime could get better defense out of him and we would could trade him next year, but giving up significant assets for him would be a significant setback to our future. San Antonio is the perfect fit for him. They have ample room for his contract and could extend him at the max. Wemby is the perfect big man for him now that he has improved his 3 pt shooting. My guess is that SA is praying nobody gets it done for him and will go for him in the off-season. If SA doesn't make a trade before the deadline they will tank the second half.
And you would be paying 30% of the cap to a dude who will never sniff being a top 20 player and who should age extremely poorly. The fox stuff is just insane. We should be PRAYING the spurs get him asap.

Welp, I’m a little disappointed we couldn’t get him. We will see if we do anything at all to improve our chances this year.
