Yes and Ime stated this as a goal long ago. To use positional flexibility to attack in many different ways. He just took his sweet time to implement the vision (forced into with Jabari's injury). There is no going back now. We have 3 guys that can initiate the offense depending on match-ups, whose hot, etc. You could say 4 guys when the situation dictates that we go back to FVV/Sengun centric offense.

I think it's even deeper than than that - Amen is a connector and his bball IQ allows him to somewhat bridge the gap between the strengths/weaknesses of both Jalen and Alpi.
    - Amen creates TOs that turn into important rhythm shots for Jalen that help his shooting when he can get a few easy buckets - he also gets Jalen easy buckets like this one:
    - Amen is a god at the dunker spot making it very difficult to double Alpi in the paint and creating offensive rebounding opportunities when teams do
    - Amen is a smart off ball player so his positioning opens up lanes that make it easier for Alpi to find players and particularly gives more generous passing windows on Jalen drives. Another link that illustrates this perfectly:

...in short he is finally solving how we bridge the gap between Alpi and Jalen's playing styles.

Is it just me, or is the NBA itself really pushing Amen? Not complaining.

I agree with this much of his shots are off of Sengun but I think he will be a mid range dynamo in the future. What people missed about the Celts game is that Sengun had a near triple double because they were triple teaming him and even the Celts coach said the gameplan was to stop Jalen and Sengun and they didnt count on Dillion hitting 10 threes and Amen getting lobs and wide open cuts off of Sengun and rim running them to death. He looked like young LeBron in the open court.

It's not just you, both ESPN and NBA all over him.

    Yeah, that thread was unusual:

They are casuals. They cant comprehend the Rockets being this good and them being wrong about them unless something emerges that gives them an excuse. Enter Amen after Bari gets hurt. They act like we just took the 2 seed eventhough we've had it most of the season lol

Amen is that marketable x-factor. You watch games because he does things no one else can do,

Also the Vecine tweet (above) is perceptive. Amen never gets tired. There was this ragged moment in that Atlanta game that Amen flipped to a new gear when the Hawks were dragging. Elite stuff.

NBA knows where their bread is buttered. They have something with these twins. Also there's a conspiracy that Nike puts money into making sure their athletes get better treatment.

Now if they could just do away with conferences they'd really have something.

Old player. I would look into trading him for some picks.

It’ll be absurd if the second seed in the West doesn’t have an All Star.

I don't think there's anyway that happens. Rockets getting 1 alternative for sure at the very least. Probably Jalen or Sengun with Amen already in the Rising Stars.

    Amen is 22?! I don't know why I kept thinking he's 19-20.
