Probably would be best to leave this in the D&D. Trump is speculating at this time which helps nobody. He is the POTUS and he can ask anybody down the chain to explain this to him.
I didn't think it was a political statement. Basically stating the questions pretty much everybody is asking. How the heck could this happen... I flew to and from DCA a few months ago. RIP to the victims.
You very well know a post with Trump will lead to political talk. You are right, we all have the same questions, but I don't think the POTUS should be putting out his questions in public. Instead he should be declaring that this incident has the full resources of the federal government and that he will ensure that we get to the bottom of why this incident happen.
I think Trump stuff needs to be in the D&D. That said, just a really sad situation. It's crazy this happened.
Definitely D&D. Here, let me push it that way 1 week ago : Trump fires heads of TSA, Coast Guard and guts key aviation safety advisory committe The aviation security committee, which was mandated by Congress after the 1988 PanAm 103 bombing over Lockerbie, Scotland, will technically continue to exist but it won't have any members to carry out the work of examining safety issues at airlines and airports. Before Tuesday, the group included representatives of all the key groups in the industry — including the airlines and major unions — as well as members of a group associated with the victims of the PanAm 103 bombing. The vast majority of the group's recommendations were adopted over the years.
Not only the Trump stuff, but the speculation of this being intentional. Which i don't dismiss, honestly.
hadn’t been a major plane crash in the United States in 16 years fired the head of the TSA, fired the head of the Aviation Safety Committee, put a hiring freeze on Air Traffic Controllers, caused a bunch of chaos and confusion, and now this happened hmmm
I'm as anti-Trump as it gets, but this is a horrible accident, not the result of policy changes in the last 10 days.
You guys can do better. Take the issue to the D&D and let's discuss it there. It's a tragic accident that needs to be investigated before anyone starts speculating the reasons for it. Someone lost their brother, sister, mom, dad, uncle, aunt, friend, etc. I was pretty upset about it this morning. It sucks to see people lose their lives in something they had no control over. Life can suck man.
and yet not ounce of sympathy for the bereaved from the leader of our nation. just an unprofessional, uncouth, caps filled, cringeworthy, knee jerk off the cuff reaction, probably with little to no intel. D & D is a toxic cesspool and I don’t see it a thread about it there yet.
I get it, but this is not the forum to discuss it. If there is no thread there, it can be created, or sometimes others post in different threads. There is a reason why we keep things separate and that's only because people cannot contain themselves once politics gets interjected into the conversation. I think we can be respectful of the forum policies. And no, I'm not the forum police, not trying to police it, but I go to the D&D to go talk politics over there, and I come to the hangout to just read up what's going on. I like it to be separate it.
