If Zion was making 12-15 mil instead of 36 and it only cost a future 1st then yes. Otherwise, no

Funniest thing is not that you would trade Jalen and a 1RP...it's that you couldn't come up with anybody better than Zion.

I still wanted Keegan over Jabari - better player is always where I land.

I would probably not trade Jalen now - but would still trade someone for him and take a shot.....probably Sengun as I believe the Rockets overall would be better with a rim protecting lob threat at center than they are with Sengun - overall.

How is Keegan better than Jabari? Dude is shooting 32% from 3 and thatrs better than Jabari?

Jabari is taller and also happens to be 3 yrs younger than Murray lol.

He was the better shooter - same reason I would have taken Mobley over Green.

It is ok to disagree - doesn't mean I won't cheer for whom we have....and I don't do any receipts like 2 years later as gotchas, people move on, situations change, data changes, minds change.

    Waste of BBS space.

He was the better shooter for 1 yr lol, their rookie year. Murray is 3 yrs older than Jabari it is expected he would play better as a rookie.

Ok - I don't like Jabari's lack of athleticism - and dribbling - I do think he is a good NBA player, and yes Murray is slumping - here is the difference when he gets back to shooting 40% from 3 - I won't be coming in here and pointing it out, he isn't a Rocket and that discussion is what...3 years old.....move on.

I would take a risk on Zion.

I mean he has been injured, so he comes at a discount with an unguaranteed contract- but his talent on this team - oh man.

    Zion for VanVleet straight up.

Pelicans are cleared of his long-term salary and don't pick up VanVleets contract next year so they are in full rebuild without the punishment of long term salaries.

Rockets have to figure out how to make him stay in shape.

I don't think that moves the needle for them, his contract is non-guaranteed, there would need to be some upside attached.....

Something like - Jabari plus Phx pick.....might get it done. Or maybe Cam and a couple picks....etc....

Didn't realize that. Yeah I'm sure Fred, Jabari and a 1st would cut it.

    Starters
    PG - Amen Thompson
    SG - Jalen Green
    SF - Dillon Brooks
    PF - Zion Williamson
    ..C - Alperen Sengun

    Bench
    PG - Reed Sheppard
    SG - Cam Whitmore
    SF - Tari Eason
    PF - Eason / Whitmore
    ..C - Steven Adams

That's a strong ass team. And I mean physically, not just talent wise.

I'd love to see this lineup

    Amen Thompson
    Tari Eason
    Dillon Brooks
    Cam Whitmore
    Zion Williamson

    Damn, they would wreck shop!

If he could be had for as little as a expiring and contracts and a 1st rounder, you have to do it. I'm willing to bet on our culture and the leadership of Ime to whip him into shape. Hell, if it's future Rockets picks I'd throw a few at him, because our picks are going to be in the high 20's for the foreseeable future.

Throw any of our picks, we don't need more picks for at least 5 years.

Not true. Picks are now valuable as hell for contending teams because it's one of the best way to acquire low salary role players.

Can't believe you're still pushing for this when we have the third best record in the NBA, three young dudes who each has a chance to become better than a healthy Zion, and Zion is in the middle of ANOTHER injury-ruined year (that makes 3 out of 5 of his NBA seasons, or 60% of his NBA career, for those counting).

Just give it up, DD. It's not happening. Just like Zion's career as a "star".
