I see no point in hiring Johnson or Lazor, now. If that was the case then they should've fired Slowik before the end of the season, e.g. after the Xmas Day Massacre, and give Johnson or Lazor an audition at that time.
I doubt we hire Chip Kelly. We keep seeing these posts about us interviewing people connected to Chip Kelly; but yet we have yet to interview him. I don't think it's that difficult to interview him.
The closest we’ve gotten to any information from a main party involved is the tweet saying that most of the interest between the Texans and Kelly has come from 'the agent.' The tweet suggests that the agent in question is Kelly’s, but it doesn’t explicitly say so. And who knows if that person actually has any real info or is just throwing out something that’s safe to speculate on.

I wonder if any of the recruits he visited asked if he would still be there. Seems like a question one would want to know.
I am against any form of "buddy system." Tried it, didn't work. Why repeat a mistake. Get the MOST experienced candidate, and that is Kelly.
I wonder whether the hold up is whether Kelly is the correct personality fit for Demeco's locker room? I'm not saying either way, but Kelly's the only candidate with less than glowing feedback from former players. It might be sorting out the wheat from the chaff about those stories.
It also might be different when you're the boss and considering hiring your old boss. Can they make the transition when authority changes direction?
