Dealing for Fox is an all-in move to win now with this current set of players. This guy drives the basket and shoots 66% in the restricted area. His defense would flower in the Rocket's system. If the Kings want Cam, Reed, Jock, Tate or Holiday, and two firsts, let's talk. This let Amen concentrate on the x-factor position. I don't think he takes the ball out of Fox's hands hardly at all. This gets you a rotation guard behind FVV and Jalen. Alpi - Adams Brooks - Jabari - Eason Amen Green - Fox (Holiday/Tate) FVV That backcourt would have a lot more punch and consistency. I'm happy if they don't make a move, but this add could be quite special
We can technically keep FVV in a trade for Fox but we'd be losing both Cam and Reed but maybe we'll lose less picks if we're including both Cam and Reed. I just think we should keep FVV on board as a 6th man this off-season, give him a more friendly team extension. I feel like his bond with our guys is underrated. We can even keep Cam and swap in Holiday if we part with more picks.
I like where our team is at right now but Stone should consider doing this trade solely because there are no other star point guards in this league that's available unless we draft them. I looked at all the 27 and under star PGs in this league and they are all untouchable except Fox.
Fox is an upgrade from FVV...we need to explore what it would take to get Fox! Here's my trade proposal: FVV/Reed/Tate/Landale/Suns pick Fox/Huerter/McDermott We get our playmaking point guard and address our 3 point shooting. They get a prospect in Reed and Suns pick...I'm pretty sure they would want Cam as well, but we can't let him go if we get Fox.
Fox isn't a guy you pair with Sengun and Amen Spurs are perfect for Fox with Wemby being a high volume 3PT shooter
[Stein] There will be inevitable trade connections made between the Rockets and De'Aaron Fox, but league sources tell @TheSteinLine that Houston's in-season intentions remain unchanged: Let this current group see how far it can go. https://marcstein.substack.com/p/nba-trade-season-latest-brandon-ingram
I was pretty interested in Fox a few weeks ago. With the emergence of Amen, however, my interest has waned, if only because I don't think he'd be the greatest fit with Sengun and Amen. Three guys shooting below .32 from 3 would be rough.
I think the most likely deal is VanVleet, Jabari and picks for Fox. The Kings need a stretch PF that defends next to Sabonis so they can move Keegan Murray back to his natural small forward position. They would want Jabari or Tari Eason in a Fox deal.
I've always thought this was somewhat intriguing. Not sure about what the Kings would demand in draft capital.
I like Fox a lot....but FVV has playoff experience...he has won a ring. I think that is super important with a young team trying to be successful in the playoffs. Need more veterans with playoff experience. I like CJ McCollum or Khris Middleton.
that’s effed-up. SAC traded an All-NBA in Halliburton to show their commitment to Fox, and now he does them like this…
According to the league source, Paul is expected to field all calls from interested teams and remain open about where Fox might land. Despite Paul’s longtime relationship with Los Angeles Lakers stars LeBron James and Anthony Davis, league sources say that’s not the destination of choice. The Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Clippers are all teams that were known to have some interest in the possible pursuit of Fox in the past. The Kings, who have won 11 of 15 games since firing coach Mike Brown and replacing him with interim coach Doug Christie on Dec. 27, appear primed to push for the best deal possible before making a final decision.
