its literally insane how their running the government. You can not pause congressionally approved funding just cuz you dont like something. Its a **** show. Corporations rely on being paid on time by the government so they can make payroll. Halting funding for thousands of projects is going to cause layoffs and other ripple effects. Medicaid portal is down right now. This means hospitals/doctors arent going to get paid on time for services they rendered which means their going start turning away medicaid patients. Its just crazy that none of this needed to happen.
Trump shutdown the Medicaid reimbursement portal to all 50 states unilaterally - that's like 16% of all health care spending - you can't do that, lol, so blatantly illegal Literally this is how all of red states pay for elder care.
I had a medical equipment company and we would get paid on medicaid patients weekly for oxygen/cpap as the equipment is rented by the insurance company. This medicaid pause means medical equipment corporations will take back the equipment they gave patients cuz theyre not getting paid for it no more and you cant give out equipment you arent getting paid on... Hes literally going to kill people.
