Watching Iowa State for the first time. I think the Coogs will beat them. The Coogs have the potential to beat everybody.
Watched that game until mid way through 2nd half. Woke up to see the heave past half court at the end by Arizona's Caleb Love to tie the game and send it to OT. Arizona ultimately wins in OT. Those 9:30pm start times are brutal. Notably MIA last night for ISU was Curtis Jones. He was 1-11 and 0-8 from three. He is usually reliable and has been their best player this year. Crushing loss for ISU putting them two games behind us in Big12. I think our defense can lock down either one of these teams. We just need to stay healthy, make our shots, and stay out of foul trouble. ETA: Technically ISU is only 1 1/2 games behind us in Big12. We have to take care of business Wed night at home against WVU to make it a 2 game lead.
Edit of ETA: Our game Wed night against WVU is a road game not a home game. 6:00pm ESPN+. Stayed up too late last night watching ISU/Arizona game.
I would say WVU is pretty decent this year. Might not be AP 25 ranked, but we need to **** those fools up! GO COOGS baby .
I'd like to see UH win a championship in my lifetime. I think their best shot is in basketball too as long as Sampson is coaching. Kind of like how when we **** the bed in the World Series in 2005, I was wondering am I ever going to see the Astros win the big one? Lord knows Hakeem and Clyde were close in the 80's, but that's an awfully long time ago.
Didn't attend UH but I've been a UH basketball fan since the early 80's. I watched the NC State game live and cried when I saw Akeem pounding his fist against the floor after the shot. I feel like college basketball is better when UH is a perenial top 10 program. So glad Kelvin has brought it back from the dead. He did what Drexler, Penders and Dickey couldn't do. Everything is as it should be now. Only thing left to do now is to right the wrong of 1983. BTW, that Kansas game was one of the most exciting regular season wins I've seen in YEARS.
And one of the worst losses ever for Bill Self and the Kansas fans. Even though the Kansas game did not happen during the tournament we kind of know how they feel. Houston fans have experienced more than their fare share of heartache and disappointment over the years across all sports.
I don't care if we have to go to triple OT and only win by one. Just get the W and keep everybody healthy.
Doesn't look right now like this game will go to triple overtime. Coogs have a twenty point lead at half.
Now the lead is down to eight; hey Coogs, wake up, finish strong! Cryer has to snap out of it. He is sleep walking.
They have been careless with the ball and then Uzan is dribbling way too much. Coach Sampson is not too happy
They are using way too much of the shot clock and then they have to heave it up with 3 seconds left on the clock
