Jalen looks like a mummy out there with all those bandages. He definitely needs the all star break to just sit down. I’m not sure he can see clearly out of that left eye.

 

When we were sitting through our 20 game losing streak in ‘21, watching Silas despondently answer reporters while searching up and down our roster for any answers, forced to root for Oladipo, John Wall and Christian Wood and hoping beyond any hope that help was on the way…on those miserable nights I used to dream about times like this!

The Rockets were down 11 just 2 mins into the 4Q, but they turned it around to win the quarter 29-23 - against the defending NBA champions, on their home court. They closed the game on a 27-16 run, holding the Celtics to just 16 points in the final 10min.

 

LaMelo Ball ball handling and 3 point shooting is crazy.

Tyrese Halliburton shot mechanics and Amen Thompson is close, timing wise not shooting form.

The Celts were rolling at the end of the third. Jaylen Brown was scoring. They were hitting 3s, and Ime made the tough call to take Jalen off Brown. Immediately with FVV on him, Brown gets an easy look, so Ime went with Brooks.

With Brooks taking the greatest responsibility in this matchup, Jaylen Brown goes 1-7 in the 4th. And Amen chases Tatum with lots of help. Out of all the scrambles, Holiday goes 1-5. That was all the Rockets needed to get back in the game.

That allowed us to give it to our new x-factor and closer... Amen Thompson.

Best game as a Rocket by Brooks. Congrats to everyone on a team-wide win.

And shame on the NBA for letting Jalen almost need eye surgery because they won't call fouls. Maybe the player's association should look at the tape and start protecting Jalen as a player. He won't have a long career if he keeps getting pushed and nailed when he goes to the rim.

It looks swollen and red so I bet it wasn’t 100% clear.

Sengun has gotten a lot better at reading the defenses collapsing on him, hence better at getting quality shots for teammates.

 

I’m not ashamed to say that I thought KPJ was literally the lone bright spot in that whole season, and I soured on him as soon as we had other young talent around him. Bad attitude is contagious, and Wood, Wall and KPJ were locker room terrorists.

Now, we have a bunch of young guys that play hard, play together, and seem to love the team and each other. I’m so glad I’m a rockets fan as opposed to like…a Hornets fan or something
