Suns had asked Beal to go to the bench, and he did. Butler may be a better player, but attitudes between the two are very different.

I can't imagine benching Green or Amen for Butler right now tbh. Can't afford to downgrade from Brooks, Jabari and FVV's shooting so he can't start at the 1 or 4. We can't take out a guy who's taking 6 3PA and insert a guy who takes less than 2 per game. That will make driving even harder than it's already been so all these guys will be inefficient and you'll be blaming Ime anyway.

If Heat are rebuilding I'll take Duncan Robinson (shooting) and Kevin Love (championship experience) for 2nd rounders.

Shaq completely misses the mark. No one is saying you won’t get another contract. They are saying, honor your agreement.

As Shaq says “if they want him” what if they said we will extend you 2-3 more years but since you are old it’s not $50m per year, it will be $38m per.

He would still want out. This is gonna be kinda like Sprewell. Except there is no opt out.

Football is the only sport where I am with the players since deals are not fully guaranteed.

This diva is already auditioning for a role on First Take. I would not trade a bucket of chicken for him, neither original nor extra crispy.

Is Ferguson cousins with Duncan Robinson?

But I get your point and I think either of them might make fine additions.

Beal understands that Phoenix has limitations to trade players. Look at Nurkic, he is unhappy but understands that he is likely staying a Sun due to the limitations of Suns being able to trade.

Oh no... Nurkic is prolly getting traded. Right after Beal. Not sure where... but prolly some place to get more depth.

    UTH - Clarkson + Mills
SAC - Heurter + McDermott (doubtful)
    LAC - Tucker + Hyland
    WSH - Holmes + Davis
    TOR - Boucher + Agbaji
    CHI - Carter + Duarte
    ORL - Bitadze + Harris
    DET - ???

Yimmy is doing the same thing he did in Minny and the same thing Harden and other stars have done. Team said they wouldn't trade him and he forced the issue. Yimmy is selfish but not stupid and he is making this untenable for Riley. I said this could be done for salary and a couple of 2s. You're right, as long as this is most all expiring no picks necessary. No one wants to hear it but we need to sabotage any deal going to PHX to protect our assets. A trade there would ruin our picks. Right now I believe they are all mid to high lottery potential. Riley is looking for any excuse to screw Jimmy and he deserves it.

I know no one really wants him here but I promise this is all an act by Yimmy to force his way out. This is the key to unlocking Durant to us NOW. If we got Yimmy it will send Durant through the roof and he will not be quiet about it. You make fun of Yimmy now but I guarantee you IF he came here you would see the player you wish he was. He needs to secure his money and has no leverage. He needs to lock in his PO and play for his LAST contract after.

Yimmy is selfish but not stupid and will be an over-38 player. He could not win in Miami or get his money. No one will give him the max. We can turn dead assets (Adams, Unc, Jock, Tate) into something with him. If he works perfectly we can keep him cheaper. We could always trade him again next year as a positive asset to a team like the Kings for Fox. No need to break up core players. Win now and win in the future for little to no cost than the pu pu platter. We need to resign Jabari and with Brooks that doesn't work. We knew when we signed them that Brooks and FVV were "renting" our cap. Yes, I watched the game. Now they could be Durant and Butler.

After you saw what this team did without stars, why hold them back with an "aw shucks we'll get 'em next year." This team is ready to win now. There is no tomorrow. We can do this and keep ALL of our kids. These young men deserve to have every weapon at their disposal. They shouldn't have to grow without help. Butler and Durant would be ecstatic to play for Ime with a group like this. They are dying because of exhaustive minutes on aging star saddled teams with no depth. This team, like OKC, is the deepest fountain of youth out there. We could cut their minutes back to save them for the playoffs and keep them healthy. No other team can afford that flexibility.

I wouldn't mess up our team chemistry right now.

Starting to think if we can get him for like Reed or something and some picks. We could be championship contenders immediately. They are going to give him away practically for free as we get closer to that deadline.

Hard to imagine Reed will ever get any minutes if this team becomes a contender next year.

I will say this - if Butler is fully engaged when he is traded, he will be an absolute warrior and greatly help whatever team he ends up with.

I don’t want Jimmy Butler on this team. I don’t even want Heavily Discounted Jimmy Butler on this team.

Considering what we’ve been patiently building for the last 4 years and all the suffering the fan base went through, it would be a crime to bring in a primadonna like Yimmy and introduce that kind of attitude to a young locker room.

We’re doing perfectly fine without him. Just say no to Jiminy Cricket.

That said, if we can help facilitate the trade as a third team and pick up some bench strength, especially a proven 3-point guy, count me in.

Gonna be cheaper man. 1 decent pick and 1 decent player (like Kyrie trade to Dallas).

Still not sure I would but the price is crazy, he has 2 good playoff runs left in him and his 3PT shot is weirdly improving.

I think Jimmy would fit like a glove here in Houston. But I’m not gutting my team just to get him. I would give up Fred so that Amen can be the starting pg. Jimmy could start at the 3. Brooks would be backup 3.

Funny enough I think the Warriors and Butler would be a good match.
