It is hard to say without context. Fedde would certainly help the Astros rotation as an inning eater and MOR starter. As for Gorman, I don't know what they would do with him.
Can they? Yeah, is it ideal? No. Paredes doesn't have great range because of pedestrian speed. His arm would be fine out there. Paredes has also played some there in Winter Ball before. Altuve would have better range but that is about it.
It seems to me that they want to add another player to the line up that they view as an overall "positive" and their choices are limited. Someone with the Astros likes Arenado at his price point. The glove at this point is the second best in baseball at 3rd - and his bat is middling, but it was a little better in the second half. Do they keep Paredes or deal him if they get Arenado?
I don't want to get in a pissing match with him, but as a Christian he certainly doesn't represent the teachings I've been taught.
Arenado is a net downgrade from Paredes. That would be a terrible move. I would be beyond disappointed if the Pressly salary space move was to trade for a worse 3B at a higher salary. He put up 2.5 WAR last season, is almost 34, and is still owed $74m over the next three season ($10m of which is paid by Colorado). He's washed. Hard, hard pass.
Bingo...bingo... and bingo... I'm not really sure how much more obvious I could make it that it's sarcastic. Although if it offends people, I'll still do it anyway of course.
On message boards it used to mean “In Before the Lock”. Indicating posting a message in a thread that the moderator was soon to close.
Thanks for the clarification. That explains IBTL. Would be curious why he's a miserable bitter person because that sure isn't coming from "sarcasm".
Have people really not picked up on IBTL's sarcasm? Y'all dense. Anyways - let's bring our boy Bregman home. GIT ER DONE MAURY.
Well our local teams pursued Ryan Anderson, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul 3 years too late... so... Astros pursuing Arenado 3 years too late is the norm.
YESSIR! And you know what? Let's do it for Christ, my brothers and sisters. It is what he would have wanted, is to bring Bregman home.
I had hoped that he was being sarcastic ... it is just that others on The Internet use the exact same language and are dead serious.
I don't think they would be dealing Paredes, my guess in that scenario is that he would go to LF unless there is even another move. The Cards would pay down part of the Arenado contract too - so the hit to the CBT would end up being like 3/54.....
Some of it may be "sarcasm" but it's VERY apparent that a majority of it is NOT. He's gone off on people numerous times and nothing about it was kidding around. If you think otherwise that's fine. We'll agree to disagree.
