Space Station, GPS, 5G, AI (deep seek) all point to one thing, the US will not be able to contain advancement by Chinese tech companies for much longer (5-10 years tops). What will the US do when China is the #1 tech power in the world?

you have no idea what ur posting

Homlles started a publically-trade company, subject to allthe SEC regulations
    Altman's OpenAI is not a publically-traded company

The US will work even harder to ensure that Coal mines and the coal industry is still running.

this is a meaningless / rhetorical question, because the PRC is not the #1 tech power

this will go a long ways towards containing Deepseek,
$500 billion AI infrastructure investment in the US

if that is not enough, because US dollar is the de facto global reserve, it can borrow some more, and
many foreign countries---including China----will buy up US debts

how much MORE money can China borrow to fund its economy ?

i can't think of a country that would be willing to lend China money; can you?

There is a limit on how much the US debt the market is willing to buy, no one know what the limit is. Try to print 100 Trillion T bills this year and see how much the market is willing to buy. The dollar will not be the world defector currency for ever, no currency is or will be. I just hope I don't see it in my life time.

    conversely,

there is a limit on how much deficit spending the Chinese economy can sustain,
given its currency is not the de facto global reserve, no one know what the limit is.

    A drop in the bucket.

"Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, last year said the AI industry would need trillions of dollars in investment to support the development of in-demand chips needed to power the electricity-hungry data centers that run the sector’s complex models."

A drop is more than enough for DeepSeek, hence the conundrum.

And remember Trump trotted out Altman and that CIA ties scumbag from oracle Larry Ellison
To announce a $500 billion dollar AI project to make even more MNRa shots including cancer vaccines among other ****.
    That deal now seems absurd.

    Chinese basically said
    **** you America.
We have something better and cheaper.

The issue is that they claim they are using NVIDIA cheaper chips - not their premium ones.

It's not that deepseek is a threat to the us. It's that AI might not need all the fancy new expensive new chips.

Ellison has been the perfect eg of a "rags-to-riches" story, this orphan founded Oracle, grew it, and built it to a multi billion companiy

that'd be great for America and the rest of the world

that's now how i read it

Guys like Altman and Ellison want massive govt contracts for AI projects to build top down full spectrum surveillance systems.

They are building an AI big brother and maybe skynet…… oh boy. Not good.

Their plan is to influence billions of people’s behaviors with AI.

    Crazy time to be alive
