California is going red. Texas was so close to turning blue.

United States Secretary of Defense - Pete Hegseth.

Hegseth will strengthen our military by bringing a WARRIOR ETHOS and this will lead to more peace. Something the Democrats don't understand -- the party of endless war.

    MM:
"Effective management of nearly 3 million military and civilian personnel, an annual budget of nearly $1 trillion, and alliances and partnerships around the world is a daily test with staggering consequences for the security of the American people and our global interests."

"Mr. Hegseth has failed, as yet, to demonstrate that he will pass this test. But as he assumes office, the consequences of failure are as high as they have ever been."

I've got to say, the folks here and the party that love to complain about unqualified people are really out here showing us how to pick 'em.

Why would you appeal to the judgement of Mitch McConnell to make an argument?

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas had to swear in Kristi Noem as the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security on Saturday after Vice President JD Vance left because Noem was 25 minutes late.

“It is such an honor to be sworn in as the United States Secretary of Homeland Security,” Noem said in a statement. “It was made even more meaningful by being sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas at his home. Thank you, President Trump for putting your trust in me to help keep America safe.”

I wonder how Hegseth's sobriety is going. I quit drinking a couple years ago and I know the first couple months is hard af, especially when there are other stressors in your life. And I was never the hard drinker that Hegseth apparently is. I wish him the best of luck on his journey to sobriety.

"warrior ethos". LOL. this is the mentality of a child. what does that even mean? these are the same people who post AI memes of trump or elon dressed up like superheros. just super goofy and weird. "warrior ethos"...LOL.

and for you of all people to accuse the democrats of being the "party of endless war" is one of the most hypocritical things i have ever seen in here. you were arguably the biggest supporter in the D&D of george w bush and the war in iraq. you spent years going after anyone who was the slightest bit critical of bush or the war in iraq. for you to now say dems are the party of endless war is just so bizarre.

yeah, it seems like hegseth is even acknowledging that he has a drinking problem. if you have to tell your prospective boss that if you get the job you promise that you wont drink that means you have a problem. for some jobs that might not be an issue but i would think that it would be a disqualifier for the SOD.
