Whitmore has managed to carve himself a nice role off the bench as a super 6th man. Yeah he still has tunnel vision but his aggressiveness def puts pressure on opponents.
I hope Ime keeps let him play for 15-20 minutes also when we are fully healthy. So far he benefited from Eason and Bari absence, and tonight’s also Amen’s. But even when these 3 are fully available in our rotation (hopefully after ASW), Ime needs to expand the rotation and keep Cam for at least 15 minutes, and about 10 minutes each to Holiday and Stevens.
Man that feed from Tate was beautiful. Ned would never. Even the effort from Cam to snag that board on the next play and not be lost in the sauce. If he starts playing high-IQ winning basketball and not just battering ram blunt object ball our bench is going to keep smoking other 2nd units.
Cam was the MVP tonight. In a lot of ways, this was one of his very best games. He has the potential to be so damn good.
Man, I like this kid. I like this kid alot. Even with all of his whining, crying, pouty attitude, he has the potential to be a very, very good player in the NBA. Unfortunately, I also think he is one of our trade pieces that will 110% be gone in a package for any star or close to star in return. The Rockets will not keep him over Tari or Bari. That is a FACT.
I've been one of the biggest Cam doubters, but at this point, I'm not trading him unless it's in a major trade (Booker, Fox, etc.). He provides something we are sorely missing without him.
Very encouraging progress since coming back from the g-league. He's kind of like Jalen. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. He's playing better defense now. So there's hope he will get it like Jalen eventually.
He's such an impressive physical specimen, and his 3 ball is good enough (albeit streaky) that defenders have to respect it. If he's playing with the slightest bit of restraint and intelligence it's hard for him to not have a positive impact on a game. +/- is a highly flawed stat, but 15 of 17 games in positive territory since he came back, one of the 2 negatives being the Boston game where the whole team got crushed. As the sample size grows it's hard to not be impressed by that number.
One of Cam or Jalen will end up being the 1A scorer on this team. I think Cam is just naturally better at it. He still needs a little more time in the oven though.
Cam reminds me so much of Vince it’s crazy. When he grows up a bit more mentally he could end up a great 2nd or 3rd option on a contender
