I’m already starting to ask these questions about him, and it frustrates me because I really want him to succeed here. I want him to be a true head coach, not just a defensive coordinator pretending to be one. I’m not giving up on him yet, but some questions need to be asked now.

He needs to not be so loyal to his friends and fire the OC and OL coach

These are my only real problems with him as a HC

Better nail our draft picks. Need a decent amount of help to start advancing beyond the wild card round and beat the likes of the Ravens, Chiefs, Bills. So much to fix. We'll see how much of it we can fix in an offseason.

I don't understand the 4th and 5 play where we had 5 seconds of to hike the ball but we were clearly not ready for the very important down and CJ took a huge sack.

Defense ended up stopping them for no points, but it was so weird we just let that happen, call a timeout or something.

I'd really like to see the offense go more 'no huddle/muddle huddle' moving forward. We currently rank 21st in the NFL with 45 plays run from no huddle. For comparison Philly has run 793 plays from no huddle. It would help against a hyper aggressive defense.

    Top 5 'no huddle offenses:

    1. Philly 793 plays
    2. Denver 669 plays
    3. Baltimore 430 plays
    4. Buffalo 359 plays
    5. Pittsburgh 252 plays.

You forgot to add Associate HC to his job title.

Need help at guard, center, receiver, tight end, and defensive tackle in that order.

I would start by cutting Shaq Mason, even if it only saves you a few million - I'd rather have that spending money than him.

Have to use a high pick on a guard - if not your first then your second.

Need to use a mid-round pick on a center. It sucks having to pour even more picks into the offensive line, but you can't get caught up in sunk costs.

See if you can get Diggs or Hopkins back on a reasonable deal.

Maybe with Brevin Jordan and Cade Stover coming back you have enough at tight-end.

Resign our current defensive tackles - I don't think they'll break the bank.

Bottom line is that you have to fix the offensive line first and foremost. You don't have the money to do it, so you just have to double down on the picks and get the right guy in there to coach them up. Someone mentioned Munchak - send a dump truck full of money to his place.

Agreed and situations like that have occurred multiple times throughout the season. If he is letting Slowik control the offense there, he needs to step up, recognize the situation, and be the head coach.

I'm not at all concerned about DeMeco or the team. We need to remember that our team is built around BABIES. Start naming the most important pieces of our core...:

    - CJ Stroud is nearly a year younger than Jayden Daniels!
    - Anderson & Stingley are 23!
    - Lassiter & Bullock are 21!

Hell, DeMeco is only 40. This is still a very young, very inexperienced core. Growing pains were inevitable. Look at every good team - they have bumps in their past. Did we all forget the Texans beat Josh Allen in a playoff game and Bills fans were ready to run him out of town just five years ago?

It takes time. I fully believe they'll make a leap next year. I'm not here for moral victories - it was a frustrating season - but they beat the Bills; lost to the Lions and Packers on walk-FGs after dominating those two teams; they were toe-to-toe twice with KC - in KC. They blew the Chargers off the field. Other than the Ravens & Vikings games, they competed with the best teams in the NFL.

BUT! They HAVE TO stop losing to bad teams. You can't get beat by Will Levis and a ready-to-quit Jets team. They win those two + one more against Det, GB or KC, and they're hosting this game against the Bills.

To me, that's the next big step - beyond personnel: winning enough games to get this round at home.
