Hope they don't join the long list of GITMO detainees known to have returned to terrorism.

If you read the statement he put out, he tells you why he did it.

Do you want to make the argument that they are not threatened with criminal prosecutions??

Biden has gone too far with these pardon's can't we all agree???

I encourage all of the Trump supporters here to join me in calling our Senators and House members this morning to demand that they pass a bill to strip the President from the ability to continue to abuse the power of the presidency.

@Os Trigonum @Space Ghost I'm sure you two will be first in line to make that call this morning so I'll wait for you two to call first, then I'll call after I hear what kind of response you get.

dobro1229: Its not ok when my team abuses my powers, but when the other team does it, their alleged supporters should stand up and make them stop.

We call this hypocrisy. I did not vote for Trump because he was morally or ethically superior. I have long acknowledged Trump II will probably be worse than Trump I once its all set and done. Its because both parties have long been compromised and I can't stomach the idea of standing with a bunch of hypocrites who think they are superior to others. I stand to do much better under a Trump administration than the continue decline under Democrats.

When as a nation we continue to put up people like Trump, Hillary, Biden and Harris, (and clintons, bushes and obamas) its every man for himself. If you're dumb enough to believe any of them are better than the other, then have fun living in your ignorance and decline. You will be left behind.

Maybe you do stand to make more money if you are in the right business, but tell me one country that has a corrupt autocratic head of government, and an handful of oligarchs who have to bend the knee where there is also an economy that is thriving for the general working class?

And before you continue on with your "They are all EQUALLY as bad blah blah..." no... that's not correct so don't even go there. You are a flat out liar if you think Trump isn't exactly the same as a normal Democratic or old school Reagan Republican president. This is not the same. You are smart enough to know that, so don't even go there.

I'm sorry that liberals made you so insecure that you just had to vote for Trump out of grievance. I mean you just said it. ".... who think they are superior"... yeah that's an admission that your Trump support is actually based on emotions, and grievance. Your "I stand to do much better" comment is just your excuse and unless you are just a burner account for Tillman Fertitta, I would be willing to bet that you actually won't do any better financially even if you convince yourself that you do, or are into taking advantage of MAGA idiots with sh$tcoin scams or something.

Because throughout our modern day history there is virtually no corrupt autocratic country that has ever existed where in the longrun the working class has ever benefited. Say what you want about the American presidency from FDR to Biden, but we all have done pretty damn well as a country under that imperfect system which has been corrupted slowly over time until this Trump dam broke loose.

Instead of making improvements through the Democratic process, half of the country decided... you know... that autocratic style of government which has never worked before... let's try that out because we are mad that corporations catered to the buying power of liberals for 2 seconds.

You're missing the point as usual. I am not apologizing for voting for Trump. I knew what I was voting for.

You relentlessly apologize for the ineptitude called the Democrat party. You refuse to hold them accountable. "they are not as bad" so its ok. Instead, you continue to expect the other team to fix their problem. but the kicker is, it doesn't matter. The other team could be sent down from God himself but you would still find fault and like a lemming, continue to support your team.

You're a very tribal person when it comes to this. In this stage of evolution as a species, being tribal is not a positive trait.

    What do the pardons encompass?

Except you have no idea that I actually do try to work from the inside to improve the party. We are involved in everything from going to school board meetings on up. My wife is in education, and we are heavily involved in focusing on trying to make change not just with the right, but also advocating within our circle.

Democracy is not something that just changes overnight on the hopes and dreams that a messiah will come and save us all. It's about doing the work as a citizen on up.

Your issue with the Democratic party has absolutely nothing to do with the actual party. I don't think you are even talking about "the party" when you gripe about Democrats. Your admitted gripes are with the culture wars... which is all due to those greedy billionaires you gave your voting power to who for 2 seconds wanted to make more money so they catered to the buying power of liberals in the West... and that made you so angry you were ready to make a criminal a King, and establish an oligarchy with that autocrat which is made up of the very same people that fueled the "woke" agenda you are so mad at.

In reality the "Democratic party" is a very powerless party, and really just a whole lot of people who have little power anymore because those oligarchs have obviously changed their tune that their customers are actually just not relevant anymore. I don't really care about them catering to libs honestly, and could care less about "woke" stuff, but just telling the truth here that those corporations obviously have changed their tune. When even Bill Gates is bending the knee the writing is on the wall that they think the buying power of the consumer isn't as important now as kissing the ring, and falling in line with the dear leader.

Yes there are some formerly powerful Democrats that in the past were able to wield some power behind the scenes with wall street, healthcare companies, and tech. Those people have almost no power anymore outside their personal connections. Bill and Hillary Clinton aren't behind the scenes shaping regulations of Space X, Chase Bank, and Apple. Their power behind the scenes means diddly squat now.

Your real gripe now is with the exact same people who are now partners with the guy you voted for.
