I doubt you laugh at all since you seem miserable. Probably hang out with a mirror.

“Dishonest” people taking this hot streak into account? We wouldn’t be saying it 9 games ago? Etc etc. Obviously you have to take these hot streaks into account, genius. You cherry pick periods to fit a narrative but turn around and say its disingenuous to do the same for when he’s playing well.

sad stuff. Don’t pretend you’re happy about this streak btw we know you by now

About the comparison between Jabari and Reed? I've been dissatisfied with all three but Reed doesn't even look like an NBA player. We'll see with Smith

Reed hasn't been allowed to play enough to make any kind of statement like that.

As to Smith, i see him as the odd man out... but that's how Jalen looked 9 games so, so we'll see.

I'm happy for Jalen and for our team. I hope he keeps it up. If he does, everyone benefits.

It's not a reasonable dispute... Jalen Green is significantly the most talented player of the three.

The issue has always been consistency of performance... Athleticism isn't close.... Reed or Jabari will never have the self creation ability of Jalen... Jabari doesn't have the handle(and never will) to get to his most effective spots or generate good shots for himself consistently.... Reed doesn't seem to have the size, speed, or handle to get his shot off consistently against NBA defenses... The hope for him if he were to be a star is that he can become or is an elite shooter with DEEP range.... So that he doesn't need much of that ala Tyrese Haliburton... Although Hali is 6'5 and he's 6'2 so it's very doubtful.

I think the most realistic POSITIVE scenario for Reed is like a Kirk Hinrich level player.

I think the absolute BEST case scenario... Although I don't think is likely till I see more of his handle would be like a Mike Bibby level player.

You don't gauge talent level just by looking at the stat sheet.... Otherwise you'll end up looking shocked or think it virtually impossible for him to have the performances that he's shown this month... It has always been about putting them together consistently.

He has the capability to do so because of his superior talent... He just needed the proficiency to go along with it.

No one else on our roster has that same capability much less the proficiency.

Any minutes he's has he's looked scared and I'm pretty sure it shows in practice

    I agree with the rest

That's what happens to rookies when any slight mistake will get them benched for the rest of games....even a missed shot.

That kind of BS makes them skittish.

That's why you don't do that.

It even took him a while his first game to get over that in RGV, he still had that BS mentality that Udoka gave him, but once he was out there a bit, and realized not every play was the end of the world, he settled in and dominated.....only to come back up and have Udoka do the same ****.

Now he's in a position where he won't get sent down because it makes the Rockets look bad and Udoka still won't play him. Kind of the worst situation he could have found himself in.

I'd go 5-12 from 3 and beat you while you go 7-12 from 2.... Beat that FG% ass with superior true shooting percentage buddy.

Not sure why Reed Sheppard is being talked about in JG's thread...and I'm supposed to be the one obsessed with him? lol.

I dont blame people for being surprised at how good JG is suddenly, there seems to be no rhyme or reason why he suddenly became hot AF. Just one morning he woke up and absorbed Aaron Holiday's shooting ability Monstar style. Like the dude is a career 30-33% 3 pt shooter now he is shooting 45-50%. Because it came so suddenly, I can also understand Jalen can also get cold just as suddenly.

However what I can say is Jalen has worked on other aspects of his game to the point his 3 pt shooting is just a bonus. Even if his shooting goes cold, his defense, hustle and elite finishing will always be there and will only get better as he builds more muscle in his frame.

I believe no other player has improved under Udoka more than JG. And at only 22, he is still younger than some rookies this year. His ceiling is still sky high and I am confident by next year 33M contract will be seen as a bargain.

I'd need to know more first.

    Age, height, weight at least.

Sam Vecenie thinks Rockets not one of the 10 most interesting teams in the NBA, nothing magical going on here. We're the 4th best team in the league (biggest jump) and one of the youngest in the NBA with very entertaining players.

To be fair, the premise seems to be around teams that likely will be looking to make a trade at the deadline. The Rockets are well positioned at the moment and have little reason to make any trades other than changing up their 3rd stringers, which is why OKC is also not in the picture on this list.

Sam Vecenie seems to be a pretty big fan of the Rockets in general.

Yup, it's just a coincidence. He was doing it about interesting teams at the deadline and it's not interesting we're rumored to be interested in Durant and Booker as the 2nd seed in the West.

lol I'm exaggerating obviously but I want to see how long he's willing to wait before giving Jalen credit for this really good half a season he's had with excellent finishing within 5 feet of the basket being the driving force along with some average sho. By far the best on the team at creating shots for himself within 5 feet - doesn't get dunker's spot, PnR and backdoor plays like Amen. It's all transition and mostly creating for himself from the perimeter for Jalen. He's better than Sengun there, and on self-created shots is dwarfing Amen in volume while only shooting slightly less efficient.

If he loves the Rockets, there's a huge story going on with the Rockets right now. The franchise might be in a new place from this point forward.
