The 2nd and 8ish in the 4Q when he just ran a basic 5 and out that almost got picked...there's just no reason/excuse to call that play in that situation, it just screams incompetence to me

We should've gotten Kliff as the OC... sad. After the fact i guess. I have a feeling they would've done even better last season with Kliff at OC.

There's absolutely nothing special about Slowik. I don't think he's quite as terrible as others here, but you could hire a million other coaches that could give you the same level of play calling. I just see very little risk in getting rid of him and a whole lot of upside.

They should dump him and try for a proven OC that will actually make a difference, However "nothing special" is the Texans franchise calling card so he will 100% be back next season.

Demeco screwed up on that key 4th down and also by not benching/cutting Kris Boyd... I am worried about some things there in terms of team culture. But that's not why we lost. We lost because our O-Line stinks and two high level WRs were not on the field (Diggs/Dell). Address the o-line during the offseason and tighten up the in-game decision making and organization and then we are in a good place.

    He has to go.

Offense doesn't have answers for blitzes or exotic looks.

Wr's ALL YEAR have been running routes in to each other.

There is a lack of detail.

He decided to start Shaq Mason despite the Line playing well with other players last game.

He continued to allow Dalton Schultz to get the bulk of the snaps despite dropping balls and failing to be anything meaningful in the run game.

Demeco and Nick have to have a serious talk. They have built a truly elite defense. Nick seems to have an eye for boundary players. His weakness is OL so go out and sign two IOL in the offseason that are proven.

They need a good coach on offense. One that actually has answers for defenses.

Nothing gets better by returning the same OC and guys like Schultz/Mason.

Every offense in the NFL this weekend looks more competent than ours. It's like we have some of the least creative play calling and the worst execution at that. Slowik needs to go, he is bereft of answers.

Of all the issues, I’m not sure who to direct a 'WTF?' at regarding how it took half the season to address Kenyon Green, and even then, it only happened because of an injury, if I remember correctly

Blame Demeco for delegating full offensive control to Slowik. You want to know why I know that? When guys played bad defensively. He benched them. See Jimmy Ward the last two years. He lost his spot. Demeco’s loyalty didn’t affect his ability to hold people accountable.

That accountability was never displayed on offense.

Shaq Mason, Scruggs at times, Kenyon Green, and Dalton Schultz deserved to lose their starting spot. They were negatives on the field in performance. Were any ever actually benched? Not one.

    Slowik isn’t a serious coach.

OC’s are supposed to mask deficiencies of your QB. On this team, the QB mask them for his OC. That’s why I’m done with Slowik. He isn’t doing his job.

Could we somehow sweeten the pot to make sure this happens?
