It wasnt rigged in 2019 when half the GSW roster was injured and they still beat a full strength Rocket team. Refs didnt cause Cp3 to get injured as he always does and it didnt cause the Rox to go 0-23 from 3.
It would make us contenders this year but given Curry's age, I would not offer Reed or more than one first. FVV, Bari, and one of the Phoenix picks is as high as I would go. If Curry was on the right side of 30 then I would be all in to make it happen.
I like this. It makes the two picks we keep from the Suns more valuable, and strengthens our asset war chest in case somebody like Ja or Ant shakes loose.
Great player, but no. I can’t flip that switch after all those years of losing to the Warriors. It would feel illegitimate. It would be like bringing in Malone and Stockton to play with Steve Francis and Yao Ming.
Ideally I wanted to Warriors trip (Steph-Klay-Dray) to still he in tact for these young Rockets to have knocked them out of the playoffs. Next best thing would be knocking Steph-Dray out of the playoffs. So no I don't want Curry on this team until that has happened. I'll take a 40 year old Curry who can still shoot 40% from 3.
FVV, Reed, and picks for Curry? Sure. I don't think Reed even reaching max potential is going to be a quarter of the player Curry is, and you can lock in Curry for a few years with core, I think that's worth doing. He will have what this team is sorely lacking unless we can expect this sort of consistency from Jalen all season (based on track record, doubtful. Even if Jalen ups his consistency its nice to have two threats vs just one).
curry, green, klay, iggy played all 6 games, durant played 5/6 games. How is that "half their team was injured"
the 2019 team was not the same as the 2018.. do you not remember that 2019 team started with the likes of james ennis and the corpse of carmelo anthony STARTING.. CP3/CAPELA AND GORDON MISSED ABOUT 1-2 MONTHS EACH.. Harden literally made that 2019 roster look much better than the final record showed in hindsight.. they were like the 13th seed in the west do you even remmeber this video being made at all in 2019.. through 28 games to start that season.. the rockets were UNDER .500.. so harden literally had to break steph curry 2016 epm estimate wins added record to damn near drag us to the 2nd seed on the final game of the year if not for a fluke paul george buzzer beating 3
bottomline the 2019 team was nowhere near the 2018 team that was like 42-3 when cp3/capela and harden played at the same time.. which is like a 77 win rate and adam silver also knew that which is why he assigned scott foster to that series to ref game 1 and game 7... which ended up being rockets home playoff losses.. i also think scott foster reffed the game 2 home loss to the utah jazz in the semifinal that year. So bottomline scott foster being anywhere near that series means the nba and adam silver were not confident the durant warriors could overcome the "choker" at home even WITHOUT CP3 look at these stats and tell me in any other sport would there not be some sort of investigation that the nba would allow scott foster be anywhere near this series.. which is why i said im not invested in the nba at all anymore, whats the point? 3 referees' Bizarre records vs NBA superstars ft Scott Foster and Chris Paul Chris Paul's record against Scott Foster is 3-17 in 20 career games. Paul has played for the Hornets, Clippers, Thunder, Rockets, and Suns, and has lost 13 consecutive playoff games when Foster officiated James Harden is 1-13 in playoff games officiated by Scott Foster. edit: fun fact.. james hardens career playoff win percentage WITHOUT scott foster is 64% which goes in line with his 65% career regular season win percentage. The issue is that in the regular season the nba ref assignments are pretty random whereas in the playoffs the refs are usually assigned to several playoff series. So adam silver made sure ed malloy was there for game 6 and scott foster was there to finish off the rockets for game 7 The funny and yet sad part is if i can find this information online then im sure the clowns at espn and fs1 can as well which means the whole nba is basically narrative storytelling based. Which is very pro-wrestling ish. Just come out and admit the nba is rigged, ill respect you more.. doesnt mean ill watch but ill respect you as a commishner also the warriors are no longer good because their owner can no longer overspend like they did in 2022 when they set a record for salary in a season. Once adam silver instituted the new apron rules.. that window was slammed shut for the foreseeable future. 2-way wings which the warriors have had in abundance during the curry years could no longer be plucked and overbid to smaller market teams.. So basically what you have been seeing the past 3 years is the warriors basically playing on the same playing field as every other team.
Well, I have heard them call the NBA "entertainment"which means it's not a true sport and can be manipulated for the viewer experience.
I beg to differ. Once the refs establish that it's okay for GSW players to jump into a Rockets' 3 point shooter's space with no whistle, it reeeeeaaally jacks up your flow and confidence as a shooter. Why does this thread exist, anyway? No way GSW lets their best player ever wear another team's uniform.
Refs on our side are easy - the NBA will make it happen. The question is, "Will Curry succumb to the Rockets' Shooting Curse?"
