When he jammed his thumb on Fox, and then missed like three jumpers in a row, I was like "ah ****, it might be a cold game for him" ESPECIALLY because he basically didn't play in the second quarter at all due to foul trouble. But then it was like he immediately flipped a switch and focused in on the basket and everything changed after that. I also feel like something is really different about Jalen, and I'm loving it.
This league is so soft. Let the players make play. One team getting free throws and the other team has to make honest jump shots to catch up and win.
This team will win at least one championship as long it stays together and no one fights to earn their own spotlight.
We were supposed to lose tonight.. down 2 starters and on a second night of road b2b. What frustrates me is how good this team could be if we just had a solid backup point guard. I like Holiday but he is a shooting guard more than a point.. surely Stone can move Jock's contract for a backup pointguard. I mean, the Warriors were able to get Schroeder for some 2nd round picks. Westbrick seems like a steal for $3mil for the Nuggets. Seems to me like Stone was expecting Reed to be ready immediately as a backup PG but that idea has failed completely.
Free throw shooting is definitely a major concern. Rockets are bottom 5 in the league at the moment in FT%. Honestly, even making one single free throw would have been the difference making. Rockets were only 17-24, Kings 20-22.
Dillon was playing hard the whole game. Got faked out. Dillon makes it interesting even when he fails. Dillon Brooks should've had a steal, Referees bailing out the Kings.
Our Defense was terrible....Sengun was -21 tonight. We have to get back to playing hard on defense. DD
Rookie NFaly Dante needs to be tried out on the Rockets Rotation, Defender, Rebounder, Alley Oop Dunker. Rockets need him. 7 Blocks, 11 Rebounds in this Game.
Good game. Tough back to back. Tari looked solid in his return and Jalen continues to be spectacular.
Our defense is slipping game to game. I hope its just because of injured players and nothing else. We gave up over 130 points tonight, this should never happen again.
Even though we lost, I think the performance overall the team put on made neutral fans watching the game believe this team deserves to be highlighted in these national tv games. It was the best game of the night on a night that had Cavs vs Thunder and most neutral fans I'm seeing are saying the Rockets got robbed and are giving flowers to the long term future of the team.
