Certainly Amen is better at stopping Brunson than DB, but DB pounded on him constantly in the earlier game and got away with it. Seems like Brunson only flops when the ball is in his hands; DB was roughing him up away from the ball something fierce.
What is worse is that Kings players smiling and acting like they are better. Way Far from it. Fake Winners always get exposed.
There were two things that I think coaches missed tonight. The first one is why Ime insisted on having Brooks guard DeRozan when he was being abused both inside and outside. I was screaming on the TV for Ime to put Amen on DeRozan instead of Brooks in the fourth quarter. In the one time that Amen was guarding DeRozan, he could not get off a shot. The second thing that was quite obvious all game was that Sabonis was constantly moving as a screener but, with all the eyes of the Rockets coaches on the bench, none of them even recognized that and pointed it out to Ime and the refs. It would have stopped several open shots for the Kings' shooters. Without FVV, the Rockets' offense was quite disorganized and the ball was not moving well. Nevertheless, the score at the end was indicative of a relatively disorganized defense until the last quarter. The team gave it their all and kudos to them despite the loss.
If this were the playoffs, okay. But this is a regular season game in January. Nobody in the year 2025 regardless of who's injured should be playing 40+ min per game.
It’s funny after the challenge on a Dillion call the refs give 2 phantom calls to throw him out the game. You know the Fox one was bad because he was showing the refs his arms so many times to try to sell it. Road b2b suck. We have no back up point guard. Is Jeff green on the trade block? never fails... Rockets goto Cali and get screwed by refs... be it ...Lakers Clippers Warriors or Kings.... always some BS calls during close games and we have to pull a rabbit out the hat to win if its close
I wish they just got rid of reviews. They just double down on bad calls and make them look even more ridiculous. Without reviews, at least they could say that the game was too fast for the refs to see everything correctly.
