Amen is much better on smaller guys than DB for obvious reasons, but one guy DB does well on is Jalen Brunson. Refs let DB beat the snot out of him earlier this season.
Another positive you can definitely see Jalen's growth this season from this game. He was struggling and was beginning to have another one of those games where it looks like he's just completely ineffective if his shot isn't falling. He missed a few jumpers in a row, then decided to start attacking the rim again and it changed our offensive momentum completely. Finished the game on good splits and hit key buckets down the stretch. I think it's for real this time.
on a night where the rockets are missing FVV, Cam has to score more than just 9 points. he had some costly turnovers in the 4th too. C'MON CAM!
Tucker never got away with it. It’s what got him benched in Philly and La. His defense wasn’t working and he had a high foul rate
Tari didn't seem to be on any min restriction though. Amen 40+ minutes third time in the past four games at least.
I thought when we played the Knicks amen did a better job. He actually locked brunson up. Dillion does better on bigger players but his defense has regressed lately
we all thought it was going on. It was a good look albeit Jalen was leaning a little bit. it's pretty much almost the same look as Damian Lillard game winner against rockets in the playoffs.
Cam has to figure out he catches and shoots 100x better than he dribbles. Hopefully the light bulb will go off soon.
Honestly with Tari back and Jabari right behind him it’s painfully obvious that Cam is the one to go. I bet Udoka is playing him to sell his talents before we ship him off to another team.
When he got that tip block on Demar and our guys just watched it sail out of bounds, it set up that first phantom foul on Dillon that we failed the challenge on. Amen would've definitely been the better guy to put on Demar, but I'm guessing that he needed to cover Fox. Regardless, I feel like this loss will be a good learning opportunity for the fellas!
Jalen Green needs those last second shots for experience. These back to back games are brutal coming from thin air at Denver and have this Game. Rockets players deserve praise in this one. TNT games always gets the last of back to backs. Players sit out these types of games. Adam Silver needs these types of games not on back to back in order the Teams get rested and ready to play.
