Booker's good, but there have been guys like him in the NBA. From Mitch Richmond to Bradley Beal to Kevin Martin to Kemba Walker to Gilbert Arenas to Trae Young to Dale Ellis to Kiki Vandeweghe to World B. Free to Mark Aguirre to Michael Adams--there have been guys who could fill it up to the tune of 25-30 ppg in any particular season and maybe add some good assists numbers too, yet they were not feared. If you put Jalen in that group, why would you trade one for another. If you think Jalen can reach just above that group to the Bernard King tier, you stick with him. If you think he can make it to the Dwyane Wade tier, what are we even talking about? If you think his overall game has the potential to get to a few prime years at the the Steph Curry/Kobe Bryant floor-warping tier, well, you put your money down and make the bet. We desperately need to go through some playoff series. I think that will show us all a great deal as to the kind of character and psychological makeup that is on this team and that knowledge may make a consolidation trade easier or at least more obvious. Booker is who he is at this point. He's a damn good player but something--it--is lacking in my view. We still don't know who Green is. I'd stick with Green right now and see what he's made of in the playoffs. Clutch genes are contagious, just as shrinking ones are. Plus, I'd be elated if we can get to the Finals with only homegrown talent.
I'd love to say no and that Jalen is the man now, but if I had to bet my money, I'd bet on Booker being the better player over the next 7 years.
It's sad that if Jalen being on a tanking team for his first four years might actually improve his perception for people who analyze basketball in the manner you do.
Everyone knew this too when SGA was 22 right? You were like "this dude is a future MVP player". I'm sure of it with how confident you are with your opinions. So I'm sure I'll find 4 year old posts of you saying he is a future MVP caliber player.
and why are you so confident Green will be a future MVP? Based on what? What if he's not the next Harden or SGA? What if his ceiling is just 20 ppg on 40% shooting? Dude hasn't done **** in the NBA except be inconsistent as ****. Devin Booker is a star. SGA was balling in his first season with OKC. You can't compare the 2.
Oh I'm confident Green will be a future MVP? Look man I'd appreciate it if I do a back and forth with a literate person who can not only literally read text but comprehend the text. Literacy is a lot more than just being able to read words. Understanding sentences you just read is part of literacy.
Lol. The only ppl that want Jalen traded are jealous Sengun fans. He is the best player in the NBA right now. I'm not trading anybody for Jalen
He’s surpassed jokic? That’s pretty high praise. If at 22 he’s better than current jokic there’s a 99% chance he blows past jordan also.
You literally implied that Rockets shouldn't trade Green for Booker because Paul George for SGA was a bad trade as if that means anything. You're too low iq even to understand your own argument.
So when did I say Green will be a future MVP? There is a really good chance the next 7 years of Jalen Green will be better than the next 7 years of Booker. That's all. That doesn't make Jalen Green a future MVP level player. Reading comprehension my dude. Its either a lack of it or bad faith interpretations of what I type. Which one is it for your case?
This is an offseason question. Due to Jalen’s extension, there is no good way to do this trade in season. Plus, we need to see this team in the playoffs first before messing with the chemistry.
When you tried to compare him to SGA. SGA will probably win MVP this year. Good chance? Based on what exactly? There is a good chance we're seeing his ceiling and Green will never be a star player that Booker is right now. Also it spells "future" You make incoherent arguments that I bet you don't even understand and then get mad at me for calling it out.
When I refer to SGA being MVP caliber do you think I brought it up to suggest Green is a future MVP caliber player? This is a reading comprehension test.
